A hidden treasure with their Japanese Garden sublime. The cafe is good average fare with staff taking considerable care with Covid adherence. The Art Gallery was not open at time of our visit, but does have a strong reputation for its featured exhibitions. We took 40 minutes to enjoy strolling around the gardens supported by Gosford's sister city in Japan - EDOGAWA. This botanic garden would suffer from me trying to describe it in words. It is visually stunning with plenty of great photographic angles to capture.

Beautifully restored Lighthouse Keepers Quarters dating back to 1903. The Lighthouse Keepers Quarters consist of two recently upgraded 3 bedroom cottages located on the headland with magnificent ocean vistas. On site hosts are at your beck and call. Sleeping up to 8 people in each fully self contained cottage. Norah Head is the perfect escape for a romantic weekend for two or a family week away. With more upgrades in the near future the Lighthouse Trust looks forward to welcoming many more visitors through working lighthouse.
Lovely walk out on either the road or bush track from Bush St. Good signage and interesting memorial to the many shipwrecks on the point. Worth taking a guided tour to gain an extra perspective. I'd be interested to know the standard and charge of the accommodation available.

So glad we stopped here. With the recent rain, the falls were flowing nicely. It was great to get up close to them and we got lots of great pictures. There are 3 main viewing spots, from top to bottom. The top falls is a bit disappointing, because it is hard to get a good viewing angle. The middle falls is fantastic, with lots of room and the ability to get as close as you like. The bottom falls is also really good, but not as large and spectacular as the middle. The path was well maintained, but I would imagine it could be a bit steep for older walkers. At first I baulked at the $8 flat parking tickets, but after seeing the falls, I was happy to contribute to the upkeep of this wonderful place.

Distillery Botanica is set up on the perfect site for a Gin distillery. This Central Coast Distillery is located in Erina on a 3 hectare site, which was once known as the Fragrant Gardens. The head distiller Philip Moore started out as a herbalist, initially taking over the gardens 10 years ago. Passion breeds success, for Philip has immersed himself in his passion for nature and his beautiful garden, utilising his knowledge to produce some highly regarded spirits. Philip has already achieved great success globally, producing award winning gins and coffee liqueurs. We aren't going to give too much away, but keep an eye on this distillery they have some exciting projects on the horizon. Moore's love for botanicals are on display in the gin offered by the distillery, many of the ingredients coming from the incredible garden on site at the distillery. Botanica Distillery is well worth visiting to enjoy the surrounds, to have a chat with Philip and to enjoy a tasting at the cellar door, which is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am-5pm. We sincerely appreciated the time Philip took to explain the history of his life, products, brand and distillery. Try the Dry Gin, a traditional style of gin that has taken a Gold medal at the London International Wine and Spirit Competition. It is certainly worth its accolades. There is also the Distillers Cut to be enjoyed with a tonic. The Roots and Leaves Dry Gin is a contemporary gin showcasing flavours inspired by Philip's Distillery garden. It's not all gin though. There are a variety of Liquers to enjoy, including the famous Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liquer, another award winner and a very popular spirit, for it it's sold internationally and at plenty of bars we know. The site also hosts 'Bar Botanica', just a stones throw from the cellar door, serving some fantastic gelato utilising flavours from the garden. This is operated by the Mr Goaty Gelato team. They also have food and coffees and the Garden is beautiful to sit in and enjoy your food. This was one of many highlights on our recent visit to the Central Coast. Not far from Sydney, plan a trip, book some accommodation and add Distillery Botanica to the itinerary.
