The Bulls Head is one of the few remaining traditional English pubs left, offering quality, home-made food and drink. Our lounge and bar areas have real fires and our bar area also has a pool table. We have a function room that is available for hire, and
From J Boy of DerbyBeautiful cosy typical British pub serving fantastic home cooked food. There is a large and varied menu, and the food was served promptly and piping hot.Owners and staff very friendly, and a good range of beers all at a very reasonable price.Perfect place for a ride out and a lovely lunch.Car park and a small outside seating area.

Free car park, beautiful building, lovley grounds and nice food, what's not to like?Dispointment started the moment we arrived, and, hoping to have a pre diner drink on the patio overlooking lovey gardens, the gas had run out on the patio heaters so that was out, a bit disappointing as the setting was one of the reasons for my choice of venue. The food was good, however the service, although poite and friendly, was inatentive, we waited some time to be able to ask for the (advertised) dairy free menu and the vegiterian menu. The food took some time to come but it was cooked well so that's not a problem. When I booked I was asked to pay a deposit, I understand the problems restaurants can have with "no show" so I was content to pay, however when the bill came the £100 deposit was not deducted ! Embarrasing to question the bill but I could't wave £100 so I tried to find someone by the till to question it . When someone did show they seemed suprised I'd had to pay this so called normal deposit, however after some tapping of the POS screen the deposit payment was dicovered and acknowleged, all be it without apoogy for the oversight. Overall it could have been a great evening but dissapointing due to lackluster customer service.Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback following your recent visit to The Winery. We are sorry to hear that the service you received was not to our usual standard. It is standard procedure for a deposit payment to be made for parties of 10 and over (particularly on our busiest days) and we can only apologise that this was not deducted from your bill before this was presented. We have taken your comments on board and are working hard to rectify the issues you have raised with ongoing staff training. We hope you will return to us again in the future to give us another try

Our first visit and on a busy Saturday night. Table was booked for 20.30 but we didnât eat a thing until 21.45. Waitress was lovely and apologised and gave us a round of drinks on the house without us asking for anything which was very nice of her.Good things - lovely waitress, food was amazing, nice bustling atmosphere. Not so good things - Long wait, expensiveAnd whats the lettuce wedge all about ? Donât quite get that Love your review, Thank you for so honest comment and we are so sorry about wait, but Saturday night is really hard for us and we try make everyone happy. And the lettuce wedge originally came from an old America steak house back in 1950s. We've put our own twist on it, as it use to be served plain. The lettuce Wedge is a refreshing accompaniment that compliments the rich flavours of the steak.
