We had a great time at this really original Buschenschenke (meaning that they are only open for a few limited times during the year, serve no hot food, but only products they make themselves. The service was friendly and efficient. The outdoor seating superb.

This is a landmark building in the countryside near to the Worthersee and Klagenfurt.The Schloss is a delightful hotel with good food, friendly staff and amazing Gothic rooms; a nice contrast to a modern hotel.There are lovely local walks to be enjoyed and other restaurants nearby for variety.There is a real sense of history as one walks along the stone corridors and views the ostriches attached farm.

Mit meiner Enkelin bin ich eine Reiter-Woche in Kärnten und wir gehen jeden Tag essen; heute waren wir beim Reidnwirt in St. Urban und das war eine richtige Entscheidung denn das Cordon Bleu war so, wie man es sich wünscht; aus der Pfanne, die richtige Fleischstärke und herrlich saftig. Die vegetarische Pizza schmeckte meiner Enkelin bis auf den letzten Bissen sehr gut. Reichlich satt konnten wir weder Irmis Creme-Schnitte noch dem Mohr im Hemd widerstehen und bereuten auch das nicht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

This restaurant is in a typical Austrian house with beer garden. A short drive behind Portschach.The food is an excellent example of local tastings. We visited it a few times during our stay in the area. It has grown and expanded in the last four years, at times not for the better. It can get very busy and the staff can be pushed to the limit.However they do a fabulous job under busy times and the food is worth it.

Das Seemandl ist ein helles, zweckmässig eingerichtetes recht grosses Ausflugslokal abseits gelegen direkt am Badestrand bzw Beachvolleyballfeld/ Fussballwiese am Flstschacher See. Um den See führt ein etwa 3 km langer Fussweg, den man gern ausprobieren sollte, die Portionen sind sehr reichlich. Die kleine Karte zeigt regionale Küche, flott und freundlich serviert und preiswert angeboten. Sehr gut bezieht sich eher auf das Preis Leistungsverhältnis, Gourmetküche ist hier nicht zu erwarten, aber das Essen war völlig ok und der Salat mit kleinen blauen Blüten serviert sogar überraschend gut. Wir waren zufrieden.
