Had a family dinner there, first time in Lucan. The interiors were very impressive inside, so we thought the food was going to be even better. However, we were slightly disappointed with just an average taste. Could be better but could be worse. I'd give it 6/10. Great service though!

Staff quick to take orders, but âeternal wait â for food. Staff avoid customer contact until finally served and then all ask if everything ok. No excuse given for delay ( was few customers!). Maybe will give another go but customers chasing staff on orders and getting a âsoonâ reply is not good, I would suggest.Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback.Apologies for the delay that you experienced on this occasion and we do hope that you will call back in again. The Duke & Coachman is an elegant country style bar and restaurant in the heart of Maynooth town. Lunch & dinner served daily, as well as finger food and BBQ options for events & special occasions.
Food was just good however menu is not impressive. The place is way to dark for Sunday family lunch. Service was confused with the dishes and moving them between the tables. A bit disappointing.

Very disappointed with the Roost on Sunday last, Mothers Day. Sat down for dinner about 7pm, no problem getting a table. We are regular diners here and know most of the waitress and we were expecting it to be busy. Unusually for the Roost, it took ages for Menus to arrive and just as long for the order to be taken. Then it took most of an hour, and several queries with the staff, to get the starter. After 2 hours, and several more queries we abandonded any hope of getting food, cancelled the order and left. Very unsatisfactory management of the situation, on the day. If we had been told that there was a long delay with the food, we would have made a decision to accept and wait, or move on and go somewhere else. At no stage was the food delay communicated to us. The waiting staff are usually excellent but it seems they were overrun on the day. Looks like the management did not plan for Mothers day and the influx of match goers, which is the norm for Corke Park matches. Overall very disappointed management need to look at their procedures, support their staff and look after there customers.

13 American visitors on a bus trip to Ireland. Went to this restaurant on a busy Sunday evening and had a wonderful experience. Staff were excellent and helpful and explained everything to each of my friends. Food was excellent and the service was superb. Beer was enjoyed by all and I certainly will be returning to enjoy the experience again.
