Ordered asparagus soup which arrived almost cold, with a raw egg floating in it which I managed to fish out. The bread was nice. For main course, ordered chicken farci, the skin was flabby, the meat rather grey and everything was again lukewarm at best. Served on a stone cold plate, so not surprising. We had amazing food everywhere else on our week long stay, but this place was really very poor.

My wife and I had two different set menus, the food was exceptional, portion size was perfect. The price was reasonable considering the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend.

Situated in a small secluded courtyard off the main shopping street, this restaurant provides a tranquil linch escape from the crowds. We had a 3 course menu du jour for â¬30+ which was simple but outstanding. A real contrast to the numerous tourist restaurants doing steak and chips or burgers! Thoroughly recommend.

This is the only place ever during our many travels in Europe that have us food poising. The place is huge, touristy, with bad service. Just avoid !! So many better places in that area.It is so true !!And the earth is flat ! And the US never landed on the moon ! And JFK was killed by the CIA ! And US is runned by an orange president ! And Tchernobyl never happened ! And the planes nerver crashed on the Twin Towers and Pentagone !And Michael Jackson is still alive, like Elvis and they are both living on a secret island !!!!And Area 51 is a secret place for Aliens !Trust Alyona ! The Bercail is poisoning people and delivering an awful quality of service !!!They must go bankrupt at once and have the head cut !!!!!;-))(sense of humour...)William

Restaurant full of charm,cosy.
Sometimes TripAdvisor needs that 6th star. This place deserves it. The Michelin sign sure helps. We stopped here for lunch on a Monday. No reservation we arrived close to noon (open 12-2 for lunch) and got a nice table. The place is small, very simple, clean but very contemporary decor. We each chose the lunch special: main with dessert for 20â¬. You can order from the menu but we thought, letâs make it simple. I had the cod over tomato creamed polenta while she chose pork over peas, green beans, and chorizo. Both were heavenly! The dessert of the day was fresh figs, slices of orange and grapefruit over mascarpone with orange sauce and a scoop of lemon ice. There are no words to describe this dessert. Sublime. Our servers were very good and the mood is very pleasant, not stuffy. We chilled, they treated us to amazing food. How can you not enjoy life in Avignon!

Tucked away off the main street, this restaurant looks like somewhere local people who enjoy excellent food would go.We had a really fabulous three course meal, stylishly served, and were only sorry we could not return as we were going home the next day.A superb tomato and mozzerella salad was followed by beautifully cooked fish and a selection of five tiny deserts on a plate. Really good coffee followed. It is not always one finds a really good restaurant with excellent service when travelling, but this is one restaurant everyone visiting Avignon should aim for.Do book, as there were queues waiting for tables.
