Hit the beautiful beaches of Weymouth to soak up the surprisingly powerful U.K. sun—there are plenty of waterfront options to pick from. The quaint harbor of Weymouth bobs merrily with fishing boats, and, downtown, Hope Square and Brewers Quay bustle with shoppers and merrymakers.

Voted the Historic Houses Association /Christie's Garden of the Year 2012. Acclaimed by Alan Titchmarsh as "one of the finest Gardens I have ever visited." Regularly featured on TV, most recently for a BBC Gardeners' World feature on camellias, with the excellent Carol Klein and expert Jennifer Trehane, and in James Wong's outstanding episode of the BBC's Great British Garden Revival series, on tropical gardens. Established in 1765.

Lovely views to sit and admire. You can see Portland clearly and it's harbour. Because of the Covid 19 virus, there were up to 10 cruise ships anchored about 5 miles out into the bay, so lovely to view. The gardens are lovely for all the family to come to. There is a play area with swings etc., plenty of seats, large grass areas, walks around to the southern bay of Newton's Cove one way and the stone pier via the rocks. It's a little steep in places, but plenty of pathways to take you all the way up or down the area.

This wonderful little garden has an Italianate terrace around a lily pond with benches and a bridge to a large grassy banked area leading to the old Sandsfoot castle ruin. Beautiful place for a quiet picnic away from the madding crowd or there is a great cafe on site all with that incredible view...Hard to beat and the dog can go too.

Radipole Park and Gardens sit on the outskirts of Weymouth central. The gardens are renown for their wonderful old weeping willows and perennial borders. There’s also tennis courts, basketball court, Muga, playpark, playing field and a community orchard.

Set over 8 acres, these gardens hold the National Plant Collection of Water Lilies (flowering late May to September), Monet style Japanese Bridge, Tropical House, Woodland Walks and Museum.
A complete JOY! From the moment we were greeted by the lovely lady who checked us in (we were late due to traffic) to the moment we actually came back for a cream tea a Monets - it was a pleasure beyond all I'll be honest - when you turn in off the industrial road to the place you may think...Hmm".. DO NOT WORRY!! These are the most exquistite gardens SO peaceful, Immaculate and a pleasure. Our greeter was a joy to talk to... and her smile deserved the first credit. The gardens go on...and on ...and on... Sit with a drink and your favourite cookie... look at the amazing lillies, the soft borders, the damselflies and dragon flies... the ducks dipping and BATHE in its tranquility. This is a Dorset HIDDEN Gem ... so I shouldnt be telling you... But YOU MUST Visit! And for reference - we left happy, went off for a drive to the beach... were disappointed by some of the cream tea options around (including one place who ignored us) so we came back .... The young staff at Cafe' Monet were a pleasure. My wife likesdecaff coffee. - they swopped the coffee in on the cream team - My coffee was perfect. We had a view of the lake and the pleasure of service by such exemplary staff. Warm scones, good coffee, smiles and perfect staff!!!!!!!!!!! What more can we say! (well done!!) Thank you.. for a lovely day and smiles all round - WE WILL BE back with friends!
