Find out what Fusion restaurants to try in Montezuma. North of Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Preserve and south of Tambor Bay, along a forested sandy bay, Montezuma has numerous beaches, waterfalls, good fishing, seafood, surfing, snorkeling, horseback riding, hiking, and bicycling. Playa Las Manchas is popular for snorkeling, though you need to be mindful of riptides as you gaze at the parrotfish, rays, puffers, and needlefish. The kids will like exploring the colorful rocks and tide pools at Playa Rocas. Beachfront cantinas, bars, and restaurants are plentiful in Montezuma. Playa de los Artistas on the Montezuma beachfront serves sushi, pizza, and vegetarian dishes by lantern light at driftwood tables on smooth sand floors beneath bamboo lattice ceilings. Playa Montezuma hosts the fishing fleet. Hike half an hour to the endless sands of Playa Grande to swim, surf, boogie board, or sunbathe nude where the waves are big and the currents less strong. Horseback ride, bike, or hike the beachfront path north towards Playa Cocolito, where El Chorro waterfall tumbles into the rocky ocean. Follow the river upstream from the beach to find more waterfalls for swimming. Playa Los Cedros, a small scenic beach flanked by a waterfall and large banyan tree near Cabuya, has a right-handed point break favored by experienced surfers when the south swells get going good. The beaches and tropical forests at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Preserve are protected as a national park. Surf at nearby Mal Pais, Playa Santa Teresa, or Playa Carmen. Surf camps can teach you the basics.

This place is an absolute gem. I had the tropical ceviche with mahi mahi. Every culinary element covered. The sweet from the mango and passion fruit, the sour from the lime, the crunch from the peppers and onions, the spicy from the ginger and jalapeno. The owner was running the show and was incredibly friendly and hospitable. You simply won't find a tastier and refreshing meal after an afternoon on the beach.Thank you for your kind words my friend it was a pleasure to have you in for a bite. Hope to see you again soon!

We had driven by this establishment several times and finally decided to go there for dinner. What a delightful experience! The employees are the best! Although the menu is limited, we were not disappointed with our choices. My husband ordered the steak, and I got the mini hamburgers. In my opinion, they weren't so mini! Everything was delicious. The grounds are very interesting with games and a small pool. The only complaint I have is there needs to be more lighting in the parking area. But other than that, we had a great time and will definitely return.

Fusion Mar y Tierra is an authentic restaurant located meters from Cabo Blanco National Park in the Cabuya Province providing visitors with ample parking space. At arrival what strikes you is the authentic nature of the place, settled next to a grazing plot for cows and a dirt road leading to the national park. The second most remarkable feature outside of the food and location is the spotless cleanliness. The kitchen, bathroom and tables were spotless. As the name points too, the menu is varied serving sushi, local Costa Rican fish and meat dishes, pasta and salads. We ordered smoothies that were delicious - the papaya and pineapple where freshly blended with milk from the cows in the plot next door. Having asked for a recommendation we were informed by the very friendly owner that the fish had arrived fresh a few hours ago. The fish filets were perfectly grilled and served with white rice, fresh broccoli and carrots as well as a surprisingly well balanced tangy sauce based on basic ingredients - fish juice, lemon and pepper. The total bill including four smoothies and two main dish dishes was 15,000 colones or the equivalent of 27 U.S dollars. While some places attempt to tackle a varied menu and rarely deliver quality, Fusion Mar y Tierra delivers fresh ingredients with a modern twist in a beautiful rural spacious setting.
