Read the reviews and made a point of stopping in Nijmegen for dinner at this restaurant. Arrived about 6.15pm and fortunately there was a vacant table in the busy restaurant. We both ordered the Tournedos, but received only one order of Tournedos and one order of Chefâs Beef. Rather than wait, we accepted the dishes which were served with fried potatoes and sauerkraut. Both meals were preceded by bread with 3 varieties of dips. The portions were large. Fortunately we didnât order starters or desserts. Reasonably priced at just 30 Euros each.
I have been here a few times purely because of the location, ten minutes from my place. The food was nice, just nice, but we had to wait 40 minutes for our dinner.I ordered the pannetjes, a small pan with chicken pork and veg with gravy, this is clearly and understandably cooked in advance and then reheated prior to being served my wife ordered the fillet steak medium rare. There was only one table of six people in the restaurant so it was not busy so I don't understand why the 40 minute wait, pre heat the pannetje and fry a steak medium rare.

Very stylish restuarant in Wijchen, We had a light lunch with Coffee. The Sandwiches are different style to England. I went for pulled chicken in Barbecue Sauce with Mayo and salad. Good value and excellent standard, Staff are great as they speak excellent English and will help and there looks like a great selection of beers to choose from as well
This is a really nice place to have a quick lunch, I have never actually sat inside although it does look cozy I normally take a broodje warmschink (ham roll with sauce) to take away. Just writing about it makes me want to go back now, but it's almost dinner timeâ¹ï¸

The menu is excellent, with choices for all tastes. The service is fast and very welcoming. The inner dinning area is very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The outside dinning and table area is perfect for a meal or cold drink with an excellent view of the nearby castle
