This is a small shop with lots of beautiful things made from buffalo hide. Good place to shop for gifts or for yourself. I inquired about slippers and was told that it was too difficult to stock enough different sizes. Be sure to check out the buffalo beards!

At Legend Rock Petroglyph site, visitors step back in time to A.D. 500-1700. Well-preserved prehistoric and American Indian etchings of animals and humans are located along Cottonwood Creek. The site is maintained by agents of Hot Springs State Park.
At least 30 miles from Thermopolis, Legend Rock Petroglyph Site sits in the blazing sun. Be sure to wear hiking boots or covered shoes and bring water and your sense of adventure. It is said that some of the petroglyphs date back as long as 10,000 years. Because these amazing "glyphs" have been vandalized security cameras help protect the area. This is a very worthwhile adenture.

We are a cool bookstore and coffee place were many people come to shoot the bull. At times it gets deep, but no one has drowned yet! Oh and the drinks are great!
We love book stores and this one has a wonderful selection, as well as great toys, yummy snacks, and of course, great coffee. Looking forward to returning with our grandkids!

Ava's is a must if you like or love rocks. You learn so much by reading the educational signs posted near all the rocks inside and out. Eddie and Ava are SO knowledgeable and willing to share their expertise. They even encourage folks to bring mystery rocks in for an ID. It's a great place to find affordable dino treasures to send to the grandkids or jewelry made by Ava for yourself or friends.

Beautiful scenery from high mountains to winding roads along the river. Mountain colors change from gray to black to pink and red. Lots of pullouts for photo opportunities. We were fortunate enough to catch some nice foliage.
