We visited with a group of 15 disabled clients plus their carers. The volunteer ladies were awesome, very patient with our group. We all took home a masterpiece! The class included guidance & instructions on how to paint a picture, which we all loved. They also provided morning tea, which was much appreciated - huge scones with jam & cream. The craft shop is fantastic, lots of handmade items from baby bibs to paintings & word works. We were really impressed & would highly recommend this wonderful place to any groups, families or individuals wanting to do something a bit different.

We were married at this lookout in April 2018 - It is close to the centre of town and the views are simply stunning. We chose it for the semi-circular viewing area with plinth where we could hold the ceremony. There are picnic shelters, toilets, a path we used as the aisle and paved areas for seating & the registry table. To top it off there was plenty of parking. Our family & friends were very impressed, we had a lovely wedding and the photos were stunning. Also, the council staff could not have been more helpful with our enquiries and booking.

The Manning Regional Art Gallery provides a range of cultural and artistic experiences to residents of the Manning Valley and visitors to the area. Most exhibitions are free and we offer associated floortalks and workshops from the exhibiting artists. The gallery hosts local, national and international exhibitions including the touring Archibald Portrait Prize, finalists of the Sulman Prize, as well as local community and and schools based projects and initiatives. The gallery is also a popular venue for performances, recitals and small scale film screenings and has hosted art and food fairs and multi-cultural festivals. If you are looking for a unique or quirky gift, take a browse through our gift shop which features original pieces by local artists and one-of-a-kind gifts and cards to please the fussiest friend.
This is a wonderful regional gallery. The staff work hard to ensure a regular turn over of high quality exhibits.

It has been wonderful to be able to return for a day trip to the beautiful Coorabakh National park. We entered the park from the southern end from Coopernook and our first stop was Newby's Cave. This is an overhang composed of conglomerate rock with the clearest little stream flowing past. Just magic! The we continued on to the picturesque Newby lookout where you have magnificent views over the Landsdowne Valley and to the West. Next stop was Starr Creek boardwalk through a lush rainforest. It is only short but be careful as we found the boardwalk to be very slippery. This spot has a couple picnic tables and a bush toilet. We decided to have our sandwiches at the picnic ground below Big Nellie, which is a very large volcanic plug which can be climbed. I did it many years ago but I doubt if my knees could do it now. Heading onwards we stopped at the great Flat Rock Lookout which again faces West. Here you can see grass trees growing out of the cracks in the sheer cliff beside where you stand. From here we drove on and out of the park and headed for Hannam Vale. On the way we stopped at the beautiful Waitui Falls on Upsal Creek. There is no sign but the road is quite wide at the falls track entrance and if you get to the small bridge over the creek you have gone a bit too far.
