This was the takeaway I picked when our group of four weekly diners decided to 'eat in' for a change. We had used this takeaway before, and been very pleased with the food and we were even more pleased this time. Easily the best Gung Po (Kung Po) chicken dish that I have eaten, plus the other three had Sweet and sour Pork Cantonese style and two portions of Beef curry. All four meals were excellent, the Pork and chicken dishes had enough in the tray to serve two people each - so I froze the remains, along with some Mushroom fried rice, for a future time. Side dishes were mushrooms and bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. The only tiny improvement could have been a few more water chestnuts in the side dish. We got athe usual bag of prawn crackers for free. I rang in the request for the food at around 5:30 and asked for delivery at 6:30, and although it was 5 minutes late, that was not a problem (it probably indicates the popularity of the shop) adde to that my house is not easy to find ! Total cost was £40.

As always John Doryâs Quorn (Previously Quorn Catch) delivered quality fish and chips, both in the restaurant and also as a take out. There may be a slightly smaller portion but the use cardboard boxes is a great change. Instead of getting home with the take away and having to peal the meal off the paper, itâs now fresh and not wet/sticky.The restaurant is very nice and now you can even have a beer or wine with your chips which is novel! The OAP deal is brilliant value.Great work guys and would certainly recommend to anyone to try.

Fish and Chips Take Away & Restaurant, situated in the quaint village of Rothley, that serve traditional fish & chips in our own Gluten Free Batter, all through the week. Coeliacs can rest assured, as all our batter is Gluten Free and we even make our own
I am sorry to say that even though we had a delicious dinner here for my birthday last year we had not been here since. My only excuse is I live in Hemel Hempstead and it is my Daughter who lives in Rothley. It was a Friday evening and we hadn't booked but on the promise that they could have the table back by 7.30 they fitted us in. Lucky for us it was only just gone 6 and they bring the food so quickly a 7.30 exit wasn't a problem. Their fish tariffs include bread and butter and tea or coffee and their fish, in this case haddock, is outstanding. I made a note to self - must come back more often. Love the food and the service is outstanding.

A casual fish and chips restaurant with a take away option available.
Every time we have been here for Fish and chips, we have not yet been disappointed.Friendly welcome and quick service (even though itâs generally always busy). Large cod, chips, battered sausage and 2 peas £11-90. Fair price but great quality. This is by far one of the better fish and chip establishments in the area. We may even try and eat in one day in the restaurant. Se you again soon:)

Hot, fresh, crispy, succulent cod and delicious chips. Really good value at £9. There's also a new seating area at the back of the chip shop which can accommodate 20-25 people. Friendly staff and efficient service.
