My brotherâs 60th birthday celebrations were well planned and we sent our menu choices a few days beforehand as requested by the restaurant. We neednât have bothered. Despite valiant efforts by the two waiting staff there was chaos in the service. All the mains were served over a 15 minute period and only then did start serving the rice and naans. Everything was cold by the time the complete meal arrived and even then the food was not very good. What was the reaction of the manager? To blame his customers and become loudly belligerent towards us, even though we were polite and respectful to him. I doubt very much that they will learn lessons from our experience and will find reasons to avoid changing their ways. We were going to spend the rest of the evening there but settled the bill and left. We avoided it the following day for Sunday lunch, preferring a 4 mile walk instead. Itâs just around the corner from the River Wye Lodge (a lovely place to stay) but donât bother to take your party here. It didnât spoil our weekend as it was so bad it was like we were cast adrift together!

I visit Cinderford Kebab shop usually twice a week. During the week its usually a Chicken Shish and on the weekend I have a large mixed Kebab which I must say is a monster! Staff are very friendly and considering how busy it gets in there on a weekend service is pretty quick. my wife is a vegetarian and she always has a vegetarian pizza from there which she says is very good too

I have had food here before, delivered actually and this was pretty much inedible. I went back and complained it was that bad. I do hope they have upped their standards, Safe to say, I will not return.

A takeaway. You want a few things when picking out a good one. 1, reasonable prices. 2, good choice. 3, fairly quick turnaround and most importantly really tasty food! What can I say, this is our number 1 choice of Chinese food in Cinderford and delivers on all those areas listed above. Word of warning. It's cash only - put there is a cash point at the garage opposite. Happy eating

The take away was nice but my husband did not check the contents so we had some one else's sauce and not our noodles! Fortunately the salt n pepper chicken was delicious and the special fried rice had lots of meat and veg. Our daughter had English chicken chips and gravy and apparently they were the best!

I used No. 9 regularly and find that they provide a consistently good product which represents value for money. Staff are always polite and attentive. The premises are also always clean and tidy.Who could ask for anything more?
