Pulled into drive thru at 1:27 behind 3 other cars. At 1:47 just pulled up to window with no food in sight. Weren't using intercom to take orders. Customers confused by this and ordering at window. Guy at window seemed in a fog and clueless. Embarrassingly bad service. Couldn't stay any longer but was trapped in drive thru line. After 25 minutes, I left without food. It's a crime they are not accountable to me at all for my wasted time.

Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for
Their burgers are made from steak and are very flavorful. They have unique topping combinations. The fries are different than other places and they let you change out your fries for other options like cottage cheese. The milkshakes are hand made and awesome! It is not fast food because they make it when it is ordered, but it is worth the wait.
I like this recipe better than the Colonel's, and they have most of the same types of offerings, with a few of their own. Service is always fast and friendly, even when they're busy, and they are at meal times. Prices are good for what you get, and they always have coupons available. They even take KFC ones! Sides of chicken and noodles, and the green beans are my first choice. Building is dated, but they keep things clean. They also have a drive thru.
Here is my rant. I don't know what all the hype is for. I never ate at a Chic fil a before. The inconvenient drive thru configuration that leads to a missed place menu board. The menu board should be back several cars prior to placing the order. I ordered a 4 piece chicken tender meal $8 +. I received 4 very small pieces of chicken with undercooked waffle fries and a drink. I don't understand why there is a need for an outside expiditor needed at the pay window at the drive thru either. I'll feel sorry for the employee at 5 below with that at job. Start to finish was 15 minutes in the drive thru. I don't think I will be back. McD's or Lee's offers better chicken tenders for less.
Nice people. Fast service. Burger was unremarkable for $5.95. Seemed like a preformed GFS patty? No flavor to bacon. I like to support local, but for taste and flavor 5 Guys is a better choice.

Wilson's has been a Findlay "location" for many years. I knew I would get good, hot comfort food at a reasonable price.
