Just stopped off to pick up a bag of ice, took forever. Carhop apologized like it was her fault. Standard Sonic food, did not eat her however. Just slow.

You get mostly the same burgers and fries as McD and Wendy's but Lotburger is the local version. If you must do fast food, this is OK, but Taos, like Santa Fe offers so much more. Outdoor patios, hole in the wall cheap eats plus lots of upscale dining. If you are visiting, get away from the asphalt and car culture and try a one of a kind first. Try something you have never ordered before!
Taos, New Mexico Food Guide: 5 Fusion food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in El Prado
I admit to the occasional subway sandwich, and I the two Taos subway stores offer chopped green chili as a vegetable for your choice of sandwich, generally at no extra charge. I was charged extra one time by the owner for asking for 'extra green chili', as I avoided the iceberg lettuce and felt I should be able to get a bit of extra green chili instead, and at no charge. That was not to be, so I never have her make my sandwich any more, or I just go the to Subway in the local Wal Mart since she works exclusively at the other location. None of the other employees has ever tried to charge me extra for my request for lots of green chili, and the fact that these Subways offer green chili sets them apart from all other Subway stores.

Although they say they serve food, don't believe it. The worst so-called food it has ever been my displeasure to be served. The tamales were masa with literally a few barely distinguishable shreds of cheese and green chili. Really nothing but masa. The breakfast burritos have a little bit of scrambled egg and what appeared to be a bit of fake cheese and fake bacon. They do seem to have nice hats and floats for the river. No food to speak of.

The girls behind the counter were friendly and asked if we'd been here or there, offering up tips of places for visitors to see. The ice cream of course was delicious!
Locally owned and operated restaurant located in Taos, New Mexico. We serve a variety of food ranging from breakfast, burgers, seafood, and Tacos. Come By or call us to grab something on the go.
I was quite disappointed to find that the food was not only more TexMex than New Mexican, but also how mediocre it was. The combo plate was bland and uninspired. The chili relleno was so tough I could barely saw through it and the beef taco was made with hamburger that had hardly any flavor. The rice came in a tomato sauce and was also pretty bland. The service was good but I would not go back for the food.We Thank You for having a meal with us, and we welcome you to try us again anytime.Have a Good Day.
