Finished my work quite late around midnight and although I had already eaten dinner at the usual time I was quite nibbly. As I was staying overnight in a local hotel I found this little gem open till after midnight. Great selection on the menu and I chose 2 piece chicken with chips! Only come to £3 so really good value. Best local chippy!

I'm not quite sure how a take away qualifies as a restaurant on Trip Advisor, but on with the review...I'm a Dukinfield resident and when my family and I decide to have a chippy tea, this is the one I go to. It's partly because it's the nearest, but it's mainly because the food is normally up to a good standard.Good points: The food tends not to be standing around for too long, so it's not cold. The only thing they tend to have stacked up in the warmers are sausages, and even then never more than about half a dozen. All fish is cooked to order. The portion sizes are good and the prices aren't too bad. And there's a car park, which is very rare!Bad points: Not really any to speak of. The pies are reheated by microwave, which seems to be common practice these days, but other than that, nothing springs to mind.They also have a Chinese menu, but I've not tried it yet. Their menu is pretty small, nowhere near as extensive as the usual Chinese take away, and there's never any menu leaflets on show, so I don't know if they take phone orders.

I actually walk past two three other chippy's just to visit this one, by far my favourite ariund the area. The salt & pepper chicken is to die for.

Have bought curries from Nat and Jan for a number of years now. Their bombay potatoes, lamb keema and stuffed aubergines (need to order a few days in advance) are to die for. Now have seating.One of a small number of businesses in Ashton doing very well because they know their market.
