This is a terrible takeaway. The chicken is breaded and tastes ok but if you get a chicken burger, it really is thrown up in front of you in a non-toasted bun and forget about the idea of getting salad with it..mayonnaise and withered lettuce is the order of the day. Serviettes are for the discerning customer who asks otherwise, they are a rare commodity. Fries are just edible. It's cheap, it's basic, it's less than average and for drunk people only.
We got a take-away for four people. The Fresh Cod and chips were both absolutely fresh and cooked to perfection and there was plenty in each portion. This is a regular chipper located in a residential area but well worth a visit if you fancy a good take-away. They sell their own vinegar here too!

Lots of different people eat here and there's always someone ordering chips at the takeaway, food is good, very good and there is a lovely waitress who is always quick with your order no matter how busy the place is, if your looking for good well priced clean food with a bit of atmosphere then go here if you have to visit this inbred town.

Shake Dog Diner is an exciting contemporary diner in Drogheda. We're open everyday Monday - Sunday and bankholidays.
I came here with my girlfriend for a casual meal. The waiter showed us to our table which definitely hadn't been properly wiped in a few days. Underneath our table was absolutely filthy also, littered with food and dirt. The waiter then took our order. The drinks we were given were cheap knock offs and were definitely not the brand which they claimed to be on the menu. Our food then arrived but with no cutlery, when we informed the waiter he rudely threw the cutlery onto the table. Our food was just about edible, although it was absolutely awful. I was so suprised to see how highly rated this restaurant was on TripAdvisor. I definitely would not recommend anyone to eat here. I will never come back again.
