My wife and I were touring around the Cerro Concepcion area of Valparaiso when we decided to take a break. We popped into this cute, little cafe. You have to come down a few steps to enter the place. Once you do, you notice it is light and airy and cozy at the same time. It is charmingly decorated, clean and overall very appealing - the kind of place that invites you to while away a lot of time. There was a small wood-burning stove tucked away in a little niche, and on the other side of the room was an old upright piano. They have live music there at 6 in the evenings. We only had the cheese and ham plate and some wine. The wine was delicious and cold and the ham and cheese were excellent and extremely reasonable. The young woman who served us was very warm and friendly. She was making some sort of savory tarts that smelled wonderful. Unfortunately we couldn't stay to have one.I would highly recommend ducking into this cafe for a drink and a snack. It was the perfect spot to take a relaxing break.

Our restaurant is located on Cerro Alegre, 20 meters from Cerro Concepcion, in the UNESCO world heritage site of the port of ValparaÃso. We have a nice green patio where you can enjoy one of the prettiest murals of ValparaÃso. Taste the best of different
We came here largely for the vegetarian options as these are limited in Chile. We had a great meal - the terrace is lovely with a good view over the harbour. The staff are very friendly. We had vegetarian croquettes to share, then I had the veggie burger and my husband had veggie pancake. All the food was delicious and the portions ample. Good value for what we had.Thank you for your comments and we are glad you enjoyed your experience at ViaVia.

From the moment we walked in the front door of Pasta e Vino in Valparaiso, we knew were going to have a great evening. The staff is very welcoming, greeting everyone with a warm and friendly smile. As the name of the restaurant indicates, an excellent selection of wines and a nice variety of innovative pastas are the featured items here, though there are many other things on the menu. Because my wife and I live in Italy for part of the year, become "pasta snobs," ofter suspicious of attempts to modify and complicate classic recipes. We were pleasantly surprised here and found each dish to be well-prepared and beautifully served. The design of the restaurant is modern, the location in the heart of Cerro Concepcion is superb, the food is great, and we had los of fun.

The main offer here is the set three course lunch or dinner. We were looking for a smaller meal chose a main course each from the a la carte menu, although at close to the menu price. The seafood soup was big, thick and uninteresting. The pasta dish was heavy and not generously sauced. The cost of drinks was a bit high, the service unexceptional, and cash was the only way of paying. Probably the best plan, if you go there, stick what theyâre doing a lot of - the three course menu.

We stumbled upon this German bar and restaurant while touring the city. Unfortunately we had just had lunch elsewhere or we would have loved to have tried the delicious looking (yet limited) menu of German delicacies. They had two locally produced German beers on tap. One is all year and one is seasonal. I had a pint of a cold flavoursome weissbier. The staff - Louis and Max - were very friendly and told us about the owner and creator of the beer. But also shared local information with us which was very helpful. Locals came in to drink and eat and you could tell this was a friendly welcoming local restaurant which was loved by its customers. Highly recommend!

The trattoria is located in the most beautiful neighborhood of ValparaÃso: Cerro Concepción. When you walk through the door, you can not resist the smell that emanates from the inside, to be treated as at home and you can choose to sit in our main dining
Stopped in at 5pm on a Tuesday to find an immaculate and intimate dining room advertising âwe love pastaâ. The menu was presented by the english speaking chek who generously offered to answer any questions etc. We had the daily special fish dish that was fresh off the boat and perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed a pasta dish that was simply a joy. All was accompanied by a Chilean red wine and finished with tiramisu and cannoli......perfect ! Total bill was $43900 pesos, we thought very resonable for the quality and the service.
