We dined here twice whilst staying across the road at Hotel Don Pablo. The food was good - the steak on the last night, fantastic - and the service was quite acceptable. It needs to be remembered that this is a Spanish restaurant in an area patronised by the Spanish for their holidays and there is a language difficulty. Nevertheless the young lad and the older lady went out of their way to try to understand us and between us we arrived at what we wanted. If you like your food cooked on a massive charcoal/wood grill this is the place to go. The Rioja that accompanied the food on both occasions was very good! The restaurant also has a terrace and is clean and tidy.

Had dinner here with wife and teenage son while on vacation in the village. Very basic and limited menu, priced appropriately. Friendly and helpful service. No hesitation in recommending it for a basic meal, particularly if one has young children in the group.

En La Espina de Pechón ofrecemos una cocina tradicional con elaboraciones modernas, acompañado de un local tranquilo que goza de unas excelentes vistas a la costa. Con esta mezcla tratamos de que su estancia sea fantástica.
I visited this restaurant with two friends, we were on our way to get the ferry from Santander and we stopped off for something to eat. I don't think I have ever been so disappointed with a meal, the meat was very fatty and seemed to me to be a cheap cut. The menu said it came with salad but realistically it came with one leaf of salad. After eating the tiny portion we left the restaurant and got food elsewhere. My friend barely touched her meal, she said it was tasteless. Avoid!!

We ate dinner at this restaurant while staying at the Camping Las Arenas in which the restaurant is located. It was a strange meal with both high and low points. The seafood was of high quality, if not quite at the very highest standards (similar sauces with each dish). However, the kids were disappointed to learn that the pizzas were unavailable due to the oven being broken, only to see pizzas arriving at the next table barely 20 minutes later (after we had ordered alternative dishes). A fish of the day was well received, but the steak less so (overly "chewy") and desserts were also disappointing. Overall not a bad meal in a wonderful location overlooking the river beach, but it could have been so much better.

I went with friends and a French couple we met the the bar. We had the house wine at the bar and it was very good local vintage. We meandered upstairs and ordered the house special for the day. It was a local white fish wrapped on ham and stuffed with something, covered with a great light cheese sauce. The meal was fantastic. If you go I would recommend the special or ask Ricardo, the owner, what he recommends. The location is on side street on the right about 1km from A-8.Enjoy

We went to the beach and decided to eat in the close chiringuito, I will start with the service, it was amazing, fast and efficient, the seafood was fresh and delicious, we ordered scallops, calamari and sardins, all was very good. We will return. Thx. Thank you very much for visiting us, we hope to see you soon.
