Nearly approaching 10 years in the centre of Donegal Town. Toni's Bistro is a comfortable cafe/bistro/restaurant that is open from morning to night every day of the week. We're always open to serve you everything including -- Barista quality cappuccino- M
I visited here today, ordered poached eggs, bacon , beans and mushrooms, the mushrooms were beyond greasy, a staff member confirmed they were deep fried ! Absolutely revolting, who wants to eat mushrooms saturated in cooking oil ! What happened to saute!!! , clearly the lazy way suits the chef !

This was where we chose to stay while visiting the town. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much bother for any of them.

I went with my cousin Mary when I visited in June - in fact we went 3 times in 5 days it was so good. Food delicious, one very small criticism is there should have been finger bowls provided after I had eaten the Chicken Wings to clean my hands and a side plate to put the bones on. These small extras make such a difference and are usually standard in good restaurants. Apart from that excellent.I really enjoyed the Sunday lunch excellent value for money. The staff are very helpful, polite and efficient. Annie Meszaros

Italian Restaurant
Everywhere else is packed with tourists... this place is packed with locals! We ate in the obvious (and more expensive) tourist traps, but we had the best food here! Good, straight forward Italian cuisine (I had a divine seafood linguine), well priced wine list, intelligent service. 'Nuff said.

This pink painted exterior of this restaurant creates a certain amount of intrigue as does itâs name. âQuaint & Commercialâ or âLocal, inviting & authenticâ ? Most definitely the latter is our experience. The atmosphere upon arrival is warm - more Kath Kidston than olde worlde Ireland - and the welcoming smiles from the young waiting staff was super. The menu does its job in that the taste buds are jolted into anticipation as the content is read. Thereafter, we had a fantastic night all round. The food is âstand outâ - the lobster âspecialâ was to die for ( and thatâs just an example ! ). Service was outstanding and the overall environment âexcellentâ... Donna ( the co-owner ) was on hand throughout the proceedings but tellingly she âpresentedâ as âone of the teamâ and not âthe Bossâ. Speaking to her staff, they seemed proud that theyâd been with her and her husband from the outset - and were part of the creation of what is an undoubtedly fantastic business for them ; a superb experience for us ! Congratulations... Happy Birthday Hazel !

Cafe serving breakfast, brunch, soups, sandwiches and hot lunches. Homemade baked goods and Lavazza Coffee all day too. Daily seafood specials.
Spent a week in Donegal & Derry, ate at some posh places... Ahoy gave us our best meal by far! The breakfast was superb - especially the honey roasted tomatoes with sesame seeds! I stuck my head in to the kitchen to nick some ideas, and they were wonderful! If I wasn't hundreds of miles away I'd eat there most days!
