In an almost deserted Halberstadt we came across this nice restaurant for an evening meal. We were the only guests but the landlady was extremely friendly , lit the candles on our table and put some music on. We had time to look around and the place is gorgeous. Each table is decorated in a different way and looks like a fine piece of art !The food is good and the service is excellent.
Carpaccio was very bland and watery, very disappointing. Pumpkin soup was yummy but rather generic. Other menus Iran's similar in fashion. Nice location and very friendly and knowledgeable server, but it wasn't a visit I would write home about.

First time in Halberstadt, one of the few open restaurants with tables outdoors. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food was excellent, and healthy. Nice touch when they put a row of teacandles in a glass with a paperbag around from the street to the door.

We interrupted our visit to the Domschatz to have lunch at St Stephanus Café next to the Dom. The tables on the terrace were taken so we had our meal inside. Although the place was crowded we were served very quickly by a friendly waitress. The food was fantastic and well presented. After the meal the cook himself came to our table to ask if everything was to our satisfaction and was very pleased with our congratulations on his excellent cooking.

A nice place to go, especially in the summer the place benefits from the big glass windows out to the back. The decor is still a bit 90s but has its charms and doesnt feel outdated. The Chef and the server were really knowledgable. The food is German traditional but always with a twist to stand out of the crowd. Can also recommend it for large groups, we hosted a class reunion there once.
