This time I added the pictures from my lunch instead of describing the delicious Italian food. Just look for yourself. This family run restaurant combines Italian hospitality, care for the customers, a bright, spacious restaurant building with a terrific garden, with the preparation of excellent Italian food, where simplicity, fresh ingredients and craftsmanship render dishes to die for. And prices are still reasonable in view of what you get, albeit that prices have increased a bit since last year. But as prices stayed almost the same the last couple of years, a price increase at some moment in time is unavoidable.

All'interno del palazzo dipinto nella splendida cornice del castello di Spilimbergo lo Chef Marco Talamini e il sommelier Massimo Botter Vi aspettano per farvi passare un piacevole momento gastronomico di grande soddisfazione.
During August, it seems that the whole of Friuli is either closed, or fully booked. Not so La Torre, where we ended up for lunch. What a whole lot of luck too. This was outstanding. The Service extremely friendly. When I wanted to order a house White Wine, the waiter opened a new bottle of excellent sauvignon, Fernanda Capello. Since it tasted so great, he left the bottle on the table. Smart man! I recommend the Sauvignon Blanc and a visit too, ist not far from Spilimbergo. And then the Food arrived. Ravioli in a Sauce of caramelized onions, roast Beef on a bed of crispy roasted potatoes and branzino meditterrano. Highly recommended. And as desert the ubiquitous Tiramisu came with a Special presentation as well. Excellent. Many thanks for this amazing review we hope see you again

The entire ambience, the quality of decor, the menu, the food served - all WOW!!! Visit Dok to get a real taste of San Daniele and the best prosciutto Italy has to offer.

The environment is beautiful, the service is awesome. We took prosciutto seasoned 24 months and 36. The last one was pretty good but I'm sure in San Daniele I can find a better one. Burrata was amazing but focaccia was Average. What disappointed the most was the main course. I took pasta with prosciutto crudo and my wife with trout. They were with full of cream and you couldn't enjoy the real flavour. Imho it is unacceptable in Italy in 2016 to put cream inside pasta. It was really hard to finish the plate because its heaviness. I gave 3 stars but the real vote is 3.5.

A tiny intimate and hidden gourmet feast of regional delight will leave you very pleased! Owners are celebrated chef and sommelier extraordinaire that will keep you amazed for 3 hours with some of the tastiest delicacies and wines you can ever hope for. Also dedicated to their crafts, they are so accommodating and genuinely focused on creating an exemplary experience. Rated as one of only 15 eateries in all of Italy renowned for perfection. Off the main road and tuck in a small village northeast of Venice about 65 miles in the foothills of the Alps, known as the Dolomites...

We recently visited Ai Mulinars for Sunday dinner based on a friend's recommendation. The restaurant can't be missed as it is located at the beginning of the road that leads up to Le Grotte di Pradis (caves) in Clauzetto. We found ample parking on this Sunday and upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and seated. I found the service to be friendly and efficient. There are two main dining rooms both warmly decorated with an authentic rustic motif. Antique copper pots and cookware were tastefully suspended from a timber beam ceiling and thick rock mason walls. Outdoor seating on a covered terrace was also available for warm weather days. A glowing fireplace added to the overall relaxing atmosphere. Tables were set with fine quality tablecloths and service ware (dishes, glasses and utensils). Our waiter first described some of the specialties on the menu and he was helpful in making recommendations. The menu listed many tempting regional dishes and focused primarily on meat and wild game. We started our meal with a pasta course that gave us the opportunity to taste three different types of pasta. There was squash Gnocchi served up in melted butter atop a smoked shredded cheese; an eggplant roll-up stuffed with smoked speck (cured meat) and topped with an excellent tomato and basil sauce; and a crepe filled with ricotta cheese and walnuts, topped with a Béchamel sauce. All were extremely tasty, though my favorite was the eggplant roll-up.For entrees, I enjoyed grilled lamb chops served with grilled radicchio, sautéed spinach and homemade potato chips. The portion consisted of six tender and perfectly grilled chops, served with the bone portion wrapped in aluminum foil for easier eating. My wife enjoyed three venison (cervo) fillets served with a wild cranberry sauce and grilled vegetables. The meat was also perfectly grilled and quite tasty. All desserts are homemade and I enjoyed an orange torte (crostatta), artistically platted and served with a cup of real whipped cream. My wife's Tiramisu was unremarkable as we prefer a creamier version of this dessert.Prices were reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food served at Ai Mulinars. Our above meal, plus two aperitifs, two glasses of wine, bottled water and a cafe totaled 84 Euro. Ai Mulinars prominently display a framed 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence at the entrance. I plan on a return visit to Ai Mulinars and I highly recommend this restaurant to the TripAdvisor community.
