Great diner!
We visited Plaza 23 Diner about 9 am Easter morning. The diner was about half-full which I thought was under whelming. Nothing in terms of the décor has really changed. The outside is rather drab and the inside is basically black & white with a lot of glass. Everything is clean with the exception of the carpet which is showing wear. Like the last time I visited with a large party the orders came out in three separate blocks. I ordered the bacon omelet which came with hash browns and your choice of rye, whole wheat or white bread. The three egg bacon omelet was lukewarm. Baskets of bread, muffins and butter preceded the arrival of the orders. I believe the omelet was $6.25 which is a fair price in my opinion. The young waitress was friendly and courteous. The bathroom was clean. I thought it was nice that they brought out a toy for the 3 year. It was a chicken that lays eggs which she enjoyed. It is a solid diner but they still have some issues to resolve.

This was the first time my wife and I have eaten at the Galaxy Diner in Butler, NJ but I can guarantee it wonât be our last. Upon entering we were greeted by the Host who showed us immediately to a booth. There was an A-frame showing the nights specials. I spotted the first item Prime a Rib with Au-jus (Bingo we have a Winner). Next we were greeted by our server Mike who asked if we wanted to order a beverage and if we had any questions regarding the menu or the specials. My wife ordered roasted stuffed turkey which came with a choice of homemade soup - she had chicken orzo, mashed potatoes and gravy, choice of vegetable she had baked zucchini. I ordered an end cut of prime rib (tender, juicy & melt in your mouth delicious & a huge portion) I had homemade pea soup (fabulous) sautéed spinach and baked potato with butter & sour cream. Diner also came with dessert, my wife had rice pudding with fresh whip cream and I had Italian rum cake (delicious & super fresh) we both enjoyed a great quality hot cup of coffee to end a phenomenal meal with outstanding service. I do want to acknowledge the proffessional, excellent service we received from Mike, he is truly an asset to the Galaxy Diner and on our next visit here we will ask to be seated in his section.

I was too early for an appointment nearby so I stopped her to have lunch. It was good. Service was good and the food was good. Decent size burger and fries were good. Nothing to complain about but nothing special either. From the outside the windows are all dark and you can't really see inside. This bothered me for some reason, especially for a diner. I think of a diner as being right and airy, not dark and mysterious. I really had no idea if there were any other patrons inside until I went inside myself. Not that big of a deal to most people, I suppose.

We tried out The Butler Family Restaurant for the first time this past weekend. We had an appetizer an a couple of entrees for dinner. The food was basically average and so was the service. The appearance on the inside was nice, but we probably won't rush to go back.

Pompton Queen Diner is a family-owned and operated diner since 1987. Pompton Queen is not your typical diner. Our modern and clean restaurant, outdoor patio, and extensive menu landed us as one of the top diners to eat in New Jersey. Our service is specta
After a business meeting we ordered takeout at this diner. A year ago we visited this diner and the food and service was great. This time we ordered breakfast entrees including eggs, toast and waffle combo. It was absolutely horrible and uneatible. The scrambled eggs were hard, no toast was included, the sausage was turkey sausage with a bad taste, and the waffle batter had too much water. The dessert was supposed to be tiramisu, but it wasn't. All in all, we were not able to eat this meal and were extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this diner. What you're describing sounds like a far cry from the delicious diner classics we've made our name on -- I'm concerned that this was your experience. Everything you ordered, from the scrambled eggs to the waffles, should have been incredible, and if it wasn't, we want to know about it so we can do our best to make it right in the moment. I hope we can get another chance to impress you, showing you the food you loved from us a year ago. Best, Sam M.
