For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca
After a long drive, we filled up with gas, then decided to eat a meal at Denny's. First, the women's restroom air conditioning was ICE COLD -- MEAT LOCKER COLD! I've never used a restroom where my teeth were literally chattering while using the toilet. I couldn't get out of that restroom fast enough. Then it took me awhile to thaw out.Secondly, yes the menus were squeaky clean but that's about it. Water drops on the silverware, plates and cups were grungy looking like the dishwasher wasn't working correctly. Dirty everywhere else. I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. Thankfully no one in our group was sick afterwards.

Black Bear Diner is a proud part of the Lodi community and has gone to great lengths to make every visit a special one. Everyone visits our diner for the tasty food but its bear-themed decor and wonderful staff are always pleasant surprises for newcomers
Yes, Black Bear Diner is a chain restaurant and chain restaurants usually do not earn 5 stars. This Diner earned its stars with the efficiency and professionalism of everyone we met. We went there on a Saturday evening. The restaurant had been open about a week. My experience with newly opened restaurants is not very good and my expectations were pretty low. The parking lot was full; but, a car pulled out of a space just as we arrived so we did not need to walk very far. There were 10-15 people standing around the door as we entered; but, was surprised to be told that the wait would only be about 5 minutes. A couple of minutes later we were called to be seated. It looked like almost every table was occupied. Our drink order was taken immediately and our drinks were delivery a minute or so later. Our waiter was very professional. My expectation was that she had trained at the Manteca or Tracy Black Bear Diner. I was surprised that she had never worked in a Black Bear Diner before; however, she explained that she had worked a several restaurants in the area. She took our order and food was delivered quickly. Again, surprised, because the restaurant was full, I expected a long wait for the kitchen to prepare the meals. The food was of the usual high quality that I have come to expect from Black Bear Diners. We will be returning and will be writing a review if the quality degrades.

My wife and I got off the freeway to look for something for breakfast and this restaurant was right there. The omelet is a four egg and huge. I had the bacon, ham and cheese. It was tasty, but I could not finish it. My wife had the good sense to order the two egg omelet off the senior menu.

Arrived in Lodi in time for breakfast before playing baseball. Very pleased we stopped here. Very inviting feeling entering the restaurant. We were seated in a booth and served promptly. The ham and cheese omlette was very good and the pancakes were tasty. A missing order item was brought immediately. Lots of fun things to look at between pictures, display ads, soda machines, etc. Appeared that lots of locals frequent the restaurant. Parking available in front and back.

This was our first visit to Richmaid. Friendly greeting and friendly, speedy service. An old-time restaurant with real homestyle food reminding me of the 1950's...soup AND salad with the generous meal portions. Staples like pot roast and chicken fried steak and spaghetti. A few seasonal specials like turkey and dressing at this visit. Features broasted chicken. Hearty meals. We had quite a bit to take home. Has been in business a very long time, clearly with a faithful repeat clientele.

I was expecting a diner where you sit down and order, but you order and pay at the counter then find a table. the place has a great collection of model rail cars and a train that goes around the near the ceiling. The staff were very friendly and came by a couple of times to make sure we were happy with our meal. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared.
