Reviews on Diner food in Frankfort, Kentucky, United States. The city of Frankfort has a long and torturous history. First settled in 1786, the city has survived a failed attempt to make Kentucky a part of the Spanish Empire, an occupation by the Confederate Army, disastrous fires, and flooding from the Kentucky River. This exciting past has left the capital city full of historic sites, museums, and restored mansions. Visit the bourbon warehouses at the Buffalo Trace Distillery or explore the beautiful Bluegrass Hills at the Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary.

I've only eaten here a couple times since it's only open for breakfast and lunch. It's very small with only four or five tables and it's nothing fancy but the food is very good. I've had the breakfast burrito and the jalapeño cheeseburger. I can honestly say I don't recall having a better burger in Frankfort. I will eat here again.

Had some time on my way to a meeting so I stopped here for lunch and had a cheeseburger and French fries. Both were very good and I would eat here again. Looked like some people were eating daily plate lunch specials too. I'll go back at some point and try some other things.

Don't have Waffle House in the Intermountain west where I live, so was curious to eat there. Had eggs, hash browns and a waffle. Nothing special about anything they had to offer. Food no different than any other diner I have been to. Service was a bit spotty as our server had to stop taking our order to help answer questions from the cook. He was trying hard to be helpful, so I didn't hold it against him. If ever in an area that has a Waffle House, I would eat there again, but wouldn't drive out of my way to get to one.

Cajun food at its best!!â We buy all seafood from this country and the soft shell crab is alive when we get them!! We are a scratch kitchen buying local, organic, non GMO, no corn syrup products.
When we stumbled on Rick's for breakfast, we didn't realize they were famous! It's a small place with very limited seating but the food has BIG taste! They have beignets that taste just like they were made at Cafe du Monde!! The rest of our order was tasty as well and we had a great server who was happy to share a bit of history about Ricks. Definitely stop here if you're in Frankfort!

Under new management and just as consistently good as ever. Lots of menu choices. We got burgers and fries. The burger was like homemade. The fries were hot and cooked just right. Servers were friendly and attentive. Will continue to eat here on a regular basis.
