We were hunkering for 'breakfast' before heading home in the evening, and were comfortable with casual atmosphere here, the friendly service and bountiful servings. We would not hesitate to stop here again if we are in the area--they advertise that they are open 24 hrs a day.I was impressed by the caring attitude shown by the 2 workers that were on duty when we were there...they obviously have regulars that come in often enough to be well-known by the staff, who seemed to regard them as friends as well as customers.

This is a cute little bistro located in downtown Coos Bay. My husband and I decided to try this place after hearing alot of good things and boy were happy we did! My husband ordered the Ruben and I ordered the hot pastrami. The meat in both sandwiches were deli fresh and delicious! If you are looking for a great sandwich and great service then this is the place to go! They also have a daily "home cooked" meal special. My husband ordered that during a different visit and it was meatloaf on that day. In his words is was "amazing!!!!" This place is a hidden treasure. It's small but cozy. GIVE IT A TRY!!!

This is a small cafe on the main street of North Bend. It's home cooking. Much of what is offered is made on site. We had arrived about 10:30 so one of us had breakfast and the other lunch. Both meals were excellent. The server was one of the owner and very appreciative of our business. There's just no downside to the experience. Will definitely be back.

My friend and I arrived at 7 am as the restaurant was just opening. Table and chairs with condiments on them welcomed us as did the owner with a big smile and nice greeting.The menu reminded me of the menu's from from younger years. Lots of familiar selections and choices. What the menu did not reflect was the large portion sizes. I would have shared a meal had of I known the portion sizes. Breakfast meals come with three eggs!My friend rates a new restaurant by their chicken fried steak. He said he was not let down and would certainly be back. I had a pancake/hotcake and was shocked at the size.Do not let the curb appeal discourage you. Inside you feel like you have been invited to step back in time and enjoy simplistic ambience. Do not hesitate to give Cape Cafe a visit. The parking area is limited a bit. RV's would have a difficult time parking but there are areas close by for parking.

My wife and l are always looking for a place to enjoy breakfast or lunch in the Coos Bay Area. Two of the longtime waitstaff of the old Kozy Kitchen on hwy. 101 in Coos Bay opened up their own place recently. Specializing in âHome madeâ recipes. This day we decided to try out the Friday only cuisine at our newest addition to Coos Bay Friends Restaurant in Eastside. Their special soup of the day Clam Chowder! It was excellent! And the hand breaded fish sandwich was also very good! I also have to highly recommend their Chicken Strips and fries with Dianeâs special sauce!!! This place is great. A little off of the beaten path but well worth the extra miles.. Cheers!!

There aren't a lot of options for breakfast in Coos Bay but this place is one of the few and fortunately it is really really good and really really popular.We usually ignore the free breakfast at the Best Western and try to find a nice local place. This time, we drove to the Stock Pot and found that there wasn't a single place to park anywhere in the vicinity so we wandered back through town looking for an alternative. Red Lyon buffet looked pretty mundane so, after 20 minutes of not finding anything, we checked out of the hotel to head out of town. Fortunately, the parking had freed up for the Stock Pot and we got a table. Fantastic place. Really nice staff. Excellent food. Highly recommended if you can get a table.. Worth a wait if you can find a parking spot.
