Lokeren (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈloːkərə(n)]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Lokeren proper and the towns of Daknam and Eksaarde. It is located on the Durme, a tributary of the Scheldt, and is the second most important city of the Waasland after Sint-Niklaas. Mayor Filip Anthuenis ( Open-VLD) was elected for a third mandate during the elections on 14 October 2012. Horse sausages are officially recognized as a regional specialty of Lokeren.

Visited the restaurant on the occasion of my birthday. We selected the extended gourmand menu (7courses). We were treated with a few very nice small dishes to get going. A.o. a fresh green gazpacho and a delicious shrimp tempura.The trip through the menu was a true revelation of taste. Starting with two variations of langoustine, ending with a delicious mix of chocolate and pistache. The lobster with Asian inspirations was outstanding.Service could be a bit more relaxed. The youngsters will certainly gain experience in the years to come. Kudos to the sommelier for her enthusiasm.Wine choice was excellent up to the main course although the red wine should have been a bit colder. We would have appreciated a different red, why not a sweeter one, with the cheese..Overall a recommendation. We'll certainly come back. I would avoid hot summer evenings when seated upstairs though..

To summarize my business diner two weeks ago; Tastefull refined food at its best and served in decent sized portions (which seems to be often a difficult combination). Friendly and professional staff. Yes it is not cheap and total price is more than I ussualy spend on diner. But it is value for money. I will be back with friends & family.

We waren in Villa Clochard in Puivelde : een ietwat rommelig interieur : de zetels gemaakt uit palletten zijn niet ideaal om op te zitten , vriendelijke en vlotte bediening , kaart met vele klassiekers die lekker zijn en in een grote portie uit de keuken komen. Enkel huiswijn in wit , rood of rosè . Mooie keuze aan gins tegen een vaste prijs . Kortom een leuke bistro waar men goed kan eten.

`My family arrived in the shop as it was nearing closing time. Nancy was kind enough to speak to us in our native tongue (English) and explained the menu and provided suggestions. She was willing to serve us the Nordic and San Francisco bagels without complaint even though it was so close to closing time. She and her staff were wonderful and we could not have asked for a more welcoming experience in this small Belgium town. Nancy even provided my family with "clapsticks" to use this evening to help cheer on Belgium to their World Cup win!! If you are in this area and want an authentic small town experience, we highly recommend Potvolkoffie!!!!Many thanks for your kind words !!!
