We had the tasting menu which was absolutely brilliant, Karen who helped throughout the meal was great. We were extremely well looked after. The Gin and Tonics were the best I have ever tasted and watching the waitress put them together was an experience too. The whole evening was wonderful. I do not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Cenador Rua Nova

A very clean and pleasant restaurant. Visited with wife and young daughter. There is no kids menu, but the kitchen were very accommodating. I ordered the Solomillo (steak). The very high quality cut of meat was cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Very happy with the food and presentation. Wife had Merluza (hake). Again, a high quality, large piece of fish. Perfectly cooked. Dessert were reasonably priced and good sized portions. I will visit again next time - highly recommended.

Cafe Bar Rua 11

A truly delicious lunch - we stopped in fairly late (around 230 pm) and were able to get a table inside (there are only about 6 tables inside and a few outside). Very delicious dishes- the tuna belly with salad was massive and flavorful. The beef tongue with roasted peppers was exceptional, the smokiness of the pepper working well with the cured beef. It was worth trying a local speciality as well, Sahagun leeks served with lashings of foie gras, very tasty. The tostas are also a great option- the fresh cod one looked excellent, our son had a cecina de Leon (beef) with tomatoes which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a couple of small tapas to start (gazpacho and some toasts with cheese). They have an excellent selection of wines by the glass. Extremely friendly and helpful service- really welcoming atmosphere. Good value as well. Great place to stop if you are looking for a delicious lunch and local specialties.
