Hugo's was excellent in every regard (food, service, drinks and atmosphere). It was obvious everyone in the restaurant including the staff were having a good time. The choices on the menu offer something for everyone. Entrees are exciting and delicious with great pairings of flavor. Started with the Ceviche Verde which was the recommended of the Ceviche selections by our waiter and it did not disappoint. For the main dish I tried the Callo de Hacha, which was perfectly prepared scallops over a sweet corn bread. Excellent choice. For dessert, opted for the Flan de Quest which was a traditional flan served in a unique manner with passion fruit sauce, candied pistachios, strawberries and chantilly cream.

First night in Houston...a little hard to find but worth it for the food. Heavy on meat----steak,chicken. Had the mixed appetizer---very good would recommend if you have not tasted the flavor palette of South African food before. Had the chicken kabob(can't remember the name and comes in beef too), wife had the chicken curry. Both were good. Not inexpensive but still a decent value. Staff is working hard to make it an experience. Decor is nice.
