The restaurant is located in a stunning location with fantastic viwe over Funchal. We went for the 7 course set menu with wine pairing. Some of the dishes was lacking salt or spices, and was a bit disapointing. Other was good, but not outstanding. It is quite expensive place, so we would have expected a bit higher standard on the food. But if you are looking for a restaurant with a spectacular view of Funchal and the harbour this is the place.Dear Guest,Thank you so much for your review about us here in the TripAdvisor. We visited Restaurante Martucci after seeing several excellent feedbacks on TA. Martucci is an excellent eatery with a very capable crew and exceptional food. Our visit became a very good experience for me and my wife.My wife choosed Salmon tartar with avocado and cucumber (see the picture). I had Shrimp ravioli with crab sauce and basil. Both starters were done to perfection. We also very much enjoyed the wonderful and generous garlic bread we were given after a few minutes. We had the Spesial Consept Menu to 35 EUROS per person, including different wines and so on. We both choosed Fillet Beef which were perfect. For dessert I had Panacotta with mango and black berry. Unforgettable! One of my best desserts ever! My wife's favourite is Tiramisu, and she is determined that this course is a parametre of the chef's skill. The Tiramisu at Martucci was her best ever! A marvelous evening! We were lucky to visit Martucci om our second day at Madeira-holiday. We will come back in a few days, for this restaurant is well worth visiting. Food extraordinary and service is very professional. Very clean place in an old style restaurant. Price very honest. Maybe the best restaurant in all Madeira island. We are frequent visitors to Madeira but this was our first visit to Mad Market so wish we'd found it earlier. The waiting staff are excellent friendly without being intrusive also helpful fetching wines to the table which they feel will compliment your meal & the choice for us was spot on. The food was delicious we were disappointed that we just couldn't manage a dessert but we will return & intend to 'pace ourselves' on our next visit.Thank you for taking some time to share your opinion about MadMarket and for giving us such a wonderful âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ review! Our concept is slightly different from the regular restaurant locations, with a different, more relaxed approach, with different environments: restaurant, snacks, cellar, fruit shop, market and typical products from Madeira.
