We have a group that meets once a month for lunch. This month it was Chinese food.I had the sweet and sour chicken. (One of my favorites!!!) No disappointments here. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. The service was quick and accurate. They took good care of us. They just need to come around more often when we're finished with our meal. We don't see each other except once a month so it's nice to sit and visit after. We need the service to continue into our visit time as well.
Our go to Chinese restaurant in Turlock! We've been coming here for 6 years. Great prices, great food. Hot and sour soup, cashew chicken, sweet and sour, orange chicken, fried rice, really it's hard to go wrong! They even make plain chicken and french fries for ultra picky kiddos.

We wanted to try this place since we heard it had new owners. It is very clean!! Major plus!But.... food was bland. Not too much flavor, looked nice but needed more flavor. The egg drop soup had more flavor in the peas than the broth. Staff was super friendly.
The food is always very good and fresh. I have to say the staff is excellent, they are very accomodating to their guest/customers. Even going so far to assist the elderly to their cars with take out. In this day and age of poor customer service I think that rates way up there and needs to be commended.
We've been going to the Golden China restaurant for more than 2 decades. The mu shu pork and mu shu vegetarian are both outstanding and come with plenty of plum sauce and thin-sliced green onion. However, the piece de resistance, what I consider to be the best single entrée for the money in all of Stanislaus County, is the Szechuan Pork Cabbage Chow Mein. Moderately priced, this dish is large enough to share and might be called "pretty spicy" by some, but is not extremely spicy. The combinations of flavors cannot be beat, and I believe the dish is somewhat addictive, as I've been ordering it for more than 20 years. It is a basic dark brown sauce with chili, plenty of pork strips and sauteed onions, as well as oriental melon. It is just delicious!

One thing I love about Chong's is that they have pork steamed buns! I used to drive to Fresno for those! I always go t Chong's when I'm craving some quick and delicious Chinese.
