Great take away food. Very popular local take away. So be prepare to wait on busy days like weekends and holiday season, it's worth the wait. Try the salt & pepper chips...not what you think going by the name...it is chips cooked with spring onions green shoots and chillies ! Just please be patient with the staff they are doing their best in a busy takeaway.
Worst fish and chips ever and I am 64.Fish black and batter burnt. Full of oil. Chips frozen and not cooked. Only reason I didn't return it was that we were visiting and going next day. Avoid at all costs.

This restaurant hold some special memories I have had some great nights here, Probably because I have found some new favourites in town. I had heard it had changed hands at some point. So when my daughter, who loves all you can eat buffets' decided to come home for Mums' Birthday we decide to give this a go. I had read the reviews, but was still optimistic. So Here goes.It feels cold in here. Not just physical but also atmospherically. Even when the room started to fill up The Maitre D is a bit harsh and not flexible. So here's a tip, your party can either have the all you can eat Menu or your can order individual pieces from the normal menu. YOU CAN'T HAVE BOTH!!! Now most of the party were happy for All you can eat. My youngest, who is as thin as a beansprout and eats as much as a sparrow, isn't going to get real value for money on this at £19.95 /head. She ate some of the chicken satay. So we were all forced to have food from the Menu. After taking the drinks menu, The Maire D then took 20 mins + to come and take our food order. We were just about to leave to go to another pace when she finally came back. She then dealt with other tables and left us alone. The 2 other waiting staff were a lot more friendly, so well done to them. The food, when it did come was in fact very good and I couldn't fault it. So big up to the chefs!!I don't think the toilets where very good, toilet seat was broken, and not suitable for wheelchairs. This place needs a bit of work doing to it and maybe some customer service lessons for some of the staff. So I will not be coming back in a hurry. A Takeaway possibly

I have to say that this is the most convenient Chinese takeaway for us and my wife and daughter love the food from there. I haven't been a fan. Until now. Excellent takeaway delivered really quickly. Carry on like this and I am converted! Sweet and sour chicken balls we superb and enormous portion. Crispy aromatic duck was superb. Thank you.

...because it does neither efficiently.A perfect example of trying too hard to be both and not getting either correct. Especially at busy times; the huge queue of customers waiting for a takeaway destroys the ambience of the restaurant and the restaurant destroys the ability of the kitchen to produce meals in a reasonable time. And the manager/owner's rudeness only compounds the problem.I've been here on a quiet evening and the food is perfectly acceptable. The trouble is it's a guessing game as to the delays and I've stopped using it. Unacceptable capacity issues in the modern world. Staff always look stressed and the arguments being heard from the kitchen are a real turnoff.Could be much better but I'm not sure I'd risk going back.

My wife had been here with friends and so suggested that we came here. The outside is typical closed down pub. However, look beyond as it is really nicely done up inside. It really is a small restaurant, so booking is probably advisable. We had a lovely meal. The shared mixed starter was particularly good. Service was really efficient. However, perhaps it was too efficient, giving me the impression that we were required to eat up and get out to free a table. Perhaps this was very much down to it being such a small restaurant, but I found it a bit disconcerting. That's why a 4 not 5 from me. I would try it again though.
