Rocky Mount is a city in Edgecombe and Nash counties in the Atlantic coastal plain region of the U.S. state of North Carolina. Although it was not formally incorporated until February 28, 1907, the North Carolina community that became the city of Rocky Mount dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The first post office in the area opened in 1816. The city's population was 57,685 at the 2010 census, with an estimated population of 56,325 in 2014. Rocky Mount has received the All-America City Award from the National Civic League two times, in 1969 and 1999.

Not impressed by the food. Did not have much taste. My favorite soup, wonton soup, was terrible here. The staff is VERY nice - but for me, there is much better Chinese in the area.

This is my go to Chinese takeout restaurant in the Nash County area. The food is fresh, delicious, and always tasty. The husband and wife owners are always pleasant when interacting with customers. I have their number on speed dial. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

4. Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

I know this restaurant as just "Great Wall". And it is great!!! We have been eating here for 15-20 years and it has always been great. They have delicious pork fried rice, made with homemade smoked pork chunks that they cook every other day.....be sure you include this in your dinner. Since we've eaten here for so many years we have our favorites and usually stick to them, but we've tried just about everything and it's all excellent. Right now we always get Triple Delight Soup which serves 4. (We take half home for tomorrow's lunch). It is so good we even order it in the summer time. Then we get Sauteed Happy Family and usually split it. We always substiute the pork fried rice. This is plenty for 2 adults... They have a tremendous take out, but also eat-in. Their decor is dated, but this is made up for by their wonderful waitress. This restaurant is very consistent and we always leave here feeling completely satisfied. It is a "hole in the wall", but if you can get by outward appearances you will have a wonderful meal!! The owners Jennifer and Ken are top notch!! Thank you Great Wall for serving us all these years!!!!

One of the better places in town for Chinese (a personal second favorite venue). The family who runs the business is awesome, and it's great to see the children learning the ropes (the mother is always thankful for customer patience when the kids run the register). I go back just to be able to support the family and their great service.

I looked for restaurants for dinner and this popped up. I went to their website, found something interesting and called in. Whoops - they didn't serve that dish. Turns out the website a customer goes to is in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Mass! Not good. Anyway, I drove to the location - small shopping center with a Food Lion - Mac D in front and looked at menu and got served to go very quickly. I had the Hunan Beef - extra spicy. First bite seemed a bit bland and then it hit. Nice. It had a good assortment of veggies, lots of thin beef - all in all very good. As usual - too much, both the Hunan Beef and the rice, which was cooked as it should for chop stick handling. If I'm back here - and that may happen - I'll probably return .

Came in looking for a dinner & left with much more. The blonde headed lady waited on us. Her service was remarkable. Never were we left with empty glasses, and she politely checked on us throughout the meal. The food was great &the place was clean, unlike most Chinese Restaurants. We look forward to going back.
