The place seems like a bit of a dive, looks like a typical worn Chinese take-away joint but the food is superior. We ate lunch and had lunch specials which included an egg roll which was more of a fried spring roll which was very crispy and hot but with only cabbage inside which is a bit of a mixed disappointment. The chicken Sate was truly excellent as was the Beef Mussaman Curry, the green curry was pretty good but not very green. Both curries were redolent of coconut milk. The included white rice was of good quality but the fried rice was a sickly yellow and fairly plain. In spite of the name "Green Tea" they served the usual cheap restaurant Oolong style tea which was only okay. The prices were very reasonable. Service was friendly but not too knowledgeable about the food.

Restaurants will always have haters, but honestly, if you are looking for some of the best Chinese food in Central Wisconsin, I would wait no further. This one is arguably the BEST! Most everything I have ordered was great, but I grew up in the Bay Area, California, and I have longed for great Sweet & Sour Chicken. Typically I am disappointed in most any Chinese restaurant, but this place has the exact great taste that I have been waiting for. I live 45 minutes away from Chef Chu's, but if I am really craving AMAZING Chinese food sometimes it is worth the trip. :-)

With so many delicious options, it can be difficult to decide what to eat. The staff and chefs at this Panda Express are incredibly patient and kind. We eventually selected orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and fire cracker shrimp, all of which we recommend. The fried rice and chow mein were nice compliments to the others.

They serve Chinese and Japanese cuisine, including sushi.
Three of us visited and had lunch at Tempura House during a weekday. Each of us ordered a different item from Menu, since buffet was lacking many items even though at 2PM, Brunch advertised 11AM to 3PM. The Brunch seemed like ti might have been well stocked, but more than half of food items - a spoonful or less - was set to middle of large chaffing dish. Rather disappointing! The sweet and sour shrimp I ordered had shrimp that apparently were reheated, somewhat hard and dried out. The others had beef and chicken, both of which also had been reheated and dried. I suggested at the time we have waiter take back, but the others did not have time, so we ate what we had. Price was right, but we believe it should have been done right the first time around, and not having to be returned. Outcome is that if we come again, Brunch at 11AM SHARP before food is gone.

Some people love it, others not. It's ok for middle of the road and a Chinese buffet restaurant. The location is very convenient.

After out party of four was seated, we waited 10 minutes before anyone came to see if we had been helped. Drink orders were placed. Two drinks came a few minutes later, one being an unopened bottle of beer. A few minutes later a different wait person came by to see if they could take our order. We pointed out that we were still waiting for a bottle opener and two more drinks. A third drink came and the unopened bottle of beer was taken back to the bar to be opened. By now we know we were in for an interesting evening. Finally the last drink arrived and we ordered two appetizers to share, and four entrees. One appetizer came soon after, but there was no sign of the second one. Once our entrees arrived, we were trying to figure out what we had ordered because three of the four entrees tasted nothing like the items we were anticipating. The food was not bad tasting, but the one dish that was supposed to be somewhat bland, was spicy and the two dishes that were supposed to be spicy were bland. We asked our wait person about this and she really did not know what dishes we had been served. She went back to the kitchen and brought out some sort of spicy sauce. We were all hungry so we ate the food which was not bad tasting, it was just nothing close to what we had anticipated. At that point, our second appetizer arrived. The tea that was ordered for one person in our party never arrived. All in all, it was a head shaking disappointment of a totally clueless front of the house coupled with a kitchen staff that has no idea what they are making. Our bill had to be rerun because it was handled incorrectly the first time. We felt bad for our wait person because they obviously needed some training in all aspects of restaurant service. As we left, the four people working the front were all huddled at the host desk, texting on their phones. All in all this was an experience that says there are better options to try in the area.
