Reviews on Chinese food in Augusta, Maine, United States. Originally an English trading post on the Kennebec River, Augusta has since grown to be the capital of Maine, and is focused on preserving and celebrating the state’s history. Visit the magnificent Maine State House or Old Fort Western, the oldest surviving wooden fort in the United States. The city is also the home of the Pine Tree State Arboretum, a 224-acre park and botanic garden, with six miles of hiking, biking and cross-country skiing trails, open for free, all year round.
Things to do in Augusta
Saw a banner on the side of the building and decided to find out what the place was offering. The website was a treat compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, clean and easy to read. Online ordering is available another plus. A co-worker and I ordered the custom combo lunch and was pleasantly surprised. My co-worker walked to the restaurant and picked up our order (2 blocks from our office building). The portions were large and still hot when my co-worker arrived with the food (it was a cold day). Another surprise the food was good. The sauces were homemade and the food was quite tasty. Looking at the online menu the restaurant offers dishes that I quite enjoy, but have not found in other local Chinese restaurants. I cannot wait to order from Brother Express again.

I ordered after an exhausting day from a nearby hotel and was surprised at the prices. But I was too tired to move and ordered anyway.Very good.Soup was absolutely fresh and not mushy.got 5 items for $12(egg roll, beef teriyaki, pork fried rice, chicken fingers and wonton soup)I'd certainly order again.Dinner was $20 with tax, delivery,a soda and tip.Food arrived pretty quickly.
Eastern Delight has the usual Americanized Chinese food and we love how they do it! Everything is fresh, not oily, and you can get spicy dishes with a range of seasoning. The egg rolls are crispy on the outside. The rice is perfectly cooked, not mushy or greasy. The service is very pleasant - the girls at the counter are really nice. Try the Orange Chicken - yum!

We tried several things off the menu and were pretty satisfied with the quality of the food. The spareribs, fried rice, fried noodles and kungpow chicken were all very good. The teriyaki chicken fingers were good but a little tough. All in all it was a great meal and well worth the cost. We will definitely go back when we are looking for Chinese food.

First time we used Canton Express .Food was fresh and packed in nice containers for take out with everything you need. We had chicken egg foo yong, orange chicken, Egg rolls and fried rice. All excellent. Moo go guy pan was good too. Plenty of duck sauce and fortune cookies. Not cheap but quantity matched quality. Had enough for another meal the next day. Definitely would use them again. Very extensive menu.

Compared to my last Chinese Buffett...cough Peking in North Conway this is what a buffet should look like and taste like. It doesn't have everything but it has a good selection for all. And it also had a tasty coffee cake desert which normally when I see the sheet cakes I normally avoid because they are dry but this one was surprisingly good. The price was reasonable too. And the owner's are always sociable.
