In the beginning of the 1980s, we used to frequent this place on a nearly daily basis while serving with the NATO in Tongeren. It used to be a student hangout in a "anything-goes-style". After returning after all these years, we found the place more settled and conservative. Well we got older and so has the Boss. But it is still a lovable place with a great range of belgium beer and a lovable host (you have to take him as he is!!!). Even if it feels strange to have a "no-smoking-policy" in a place where all kinds of things used to be smoked, we are happy to have seen this old place still going strong (especially on sundays when the fleamarket is on) and hope to return soon. Good Luck Edgard!

This was a fantastic hotel. I booked for a girl's weekend away, and was very pleased with the food, staff and comfortable room. Located on the main square, it was IDEAL for the antiques market on Sunday. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. Parking was steps away in the nearby garage and could not have been more convenient. Continental breakfast was large and provided many healthy options. Staff helpful and courteous. Provided free wifi. We would definitely return.

Really really great food for the price! Great selection of wine, whisky and drinks. Really nice vibe and plenty of space (both inside and outside). Staff is really awesome, and knows a lot(!!!) about wine, whisky, beer and the food. Service on point

The burger of my partner was excellent, but our chips tasted after nothing (neither had the potatoes a taste, nor where they salted or were salt on the table nor were there a sauce served). Moreover I ordered the "croquettes with salat garnish". For 17 Euro I got 2!!! croquettes (which were indeed good and traditional) with a small amount of salat decoration. This was a rip-off.
