Reviews on Catalan food in Ciutadella, Balearic Islands, Spain. You’ll find 17th-century, Italian-style buildings and an interesting old cathedral here. However, many travelers are drawn to Ciudadela’s lively nightlife and fiestas, including the Processo dels Tres Tocs on January 17 and a celebration of Sant Joan, the town’s patron saint, on June 23–24. They feature dancing, parades and pomada, a drink combining gin and lemon.

Buy fresh fish on the market and we'll cook for you!
I LOVE this place- I'd happily eat here every night of my holiday. The food is super fresh, the menu interesting and the portions generous. There are a lot of less common dishes available, and at lunch you can bring your own fish for them to prepare. It really is very fish/seafood oriented so if you're not keen on sea creatures this is not the place for you. It's popular with locals which to me says it all. I much prefer it to the place next door which seems to have people queuing round the block, but I've never quite understood why when there is this place. Prices really reasonable given the quality of the food.Super friendly service.

Nice restaurant on the marina of Ciutadella, with fresh fish, good meat and excellent paella and typical dish of the island, the lobster stew.
Had just arrived, checked in and unpacked so looking for a light lunch. Swift service and seated near the water there were nice views and passing pedestrians to watch.Shared Goats Cheese Salad and Stuffed Aubergines (Menorcan style) accompanied by bottle of nicely chilled rose hit the spot. 35 euros inc tip was probably reasonable value but you have to expect to pay extra for harbourside position.

S'Amarador has already become the restaurant par excellence in the Port of Ciutadella. Located at the center of the port, next to the bridge, it has a fantastic terrace with the best views over the harbour as the sunsets. The spirit of the traditional fis
We were visiting the town for the day and asked one of the shop owners for recommendations of places to have lunch so we followed her advice and were not disappointed. Wonderful location right by the port overlooking the water and boats. Its a high end restaurant so not especially cheap but the quality of the food, service and view made up for it.Friendly staff who gave advice on what to eat. Food beautifully presented. Very busy which shows how popular it is. Overall great meal

Located along a little side street, this cute restaurant offers a more authentic experience than some of the more touristy seafood restaurants along the harbour. We enjoyed a nice quiet romantic meal. The paella was tasty and the wine good.

Highly recommend for a romantic dinner in a beautiful setting. Pre-booking is neccessary to get a table next to sea, and definitely worth it. Huge fish swimming right beside us all evening! Victor and Mima looked after us and made us feel very welcome, thank you!

We ate in the main dining area which is large, airy and stunning (there is an outside eating area and a more casual indoor dining space with an alternative menu available)Despite the rather grand surroundings the staff are friendly and the prices are no more expensive that other mid-range places.Off to a fine start with House Bread accompanied by tangy olives and aioli. We each ordered a starter - Courgette Fritters (a bit bland and disappointing) and Goats Cheese Salad (superb and the best I had during my holiday with a fab mix of leaves, fruits, nuts, generous portion of cheese and zesty dressing) Mains of Suckling Pig (tasty and tender but nothing extraordinary according to OH) and Chargrilled Chicken (very tasty and tender but far, far too much for one person) House red very tasty and reasonably priced - but you wouldn't expect such a classy establishment to serve poor house wine.At under 70 euros inc tip we felt we had 'gone a bit upmarket' without breaking the bank.So we decided to return a few nights later - I had decided that Goats Cheese Salad would be my main course as it was so good the previous time.We decided to share a starter knowing that portion sizes are generous and Tuna Chunks with Tomatoes suited us both - what a great choice. Chargrilled fresh tuna in sizeable pieces (nothing from a tin here!) sat on top of a huge leafy salad with a superb dressing and plenty of ripe juicy tomatoes. My repeated GC salad did not disappoint. Cod with Saffron Sauce served with potatoes and vegetables also proved a hit on the other side of the table.Again good quality, nicely presented, tasty food along with fruity red wine in a stunning environment for under 70 euros is excellent value. We left suitably full with a recommendation from our waiter to go immediately along to Placa des Borns where a free concert was taking place - Punk Floyd tribute (The Other Side) accompanied by the Municipal Band of Menorca. Brilliant evening all round!
