The region of Campania curves around the bays of Naples and Sorrento, with towering Vesuvius and mountain ranges and massifs looming above. Ancient classical ruins are scattered throughout the region, from the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum to the Greek temples in Paestum. Popular resort towns include charming Sorrento and Amalfi, upscale Positano and haven for the elite, Ravello. For even more memorable sights, catch a ferry from Sorrento or Naples to the isle of Capri, home of the magical Blue Grotto.

Castello di Limatola Hotel situated in Limatola, a little village near Caserta, in Campania (Italy) , is an example of medieval fortified architecture, that after many years has finally reconquered its ancient splendor thanks to an attentive restoration. Now it is the ideal location for meetings, guided visits, events and weddings. Place of prestigious families such as the “Angioini” and the “Aragonesi”, it is the right destination for who wants an exclusive holiday in an elegant and suggestive setting full of history, culture and art.
I was there for my daughter wedding. Only one word underline this experience - EXCELLENCE - all rooms were wide and ancient but comfortable - food tasty and excellent - the scenery ...... unique! I suggest it for a Romantic Day just few miles from the Caserta Reggia. Tourists will love it!

Castello Ducale Castel Campagnano is a charming historical building of the 18th century. Today it is a fascinating location for unique Wedding venues in Italy. The 10.000 metres Park with Pool with views over the valley, the internal rooms characterized by original materials and architecture, the outstanding wine cellar with its oak barrels and the Medieval Church make this Palace a great choice for Banqueting Events.Ten room hotel can be reserved for groups and wedding venue guests.
My family loved our stay at the castle. It was very unique compared to any other hotel we have visited. The kids ran around the castle grounds and had a great time looking at old knights stuff in the small museum. The breakfast was ample and helped start our day on a good foot

The Crocco Palace still retains the character of the severe noble houses which have characterized our small towns in the Cilento region, and been influential in the dynamics of our local economy. The gates in ashlar stonework are of particular interest (on one gate there is the family crest, and on the other is the date 1778), The gates' location are also of importance: one is off of Crocco and is at the main entrance, the other, of equal splendor, is inside the small, yet significant, central cloister. The rooms are followed, one after the other, with high ceilings featured by centuries-old intersecting wooden beams, which have now been restored. Beautiful, ornate doors lead to balconies with wrought-iron railing overlooking the verdant valley. Atop stone stairs we may admire a newsstand with "La Pieta" of the School of Salvator Rosa. The recently restored attic room stands for beauty of the space, punctuated by trusses and beams, and is crucial to the preservation of the many valuable elements of Il Palazzo Crocco. The attic space, full of charm, has been designed by the owners to host exhibitions related to the local culture, as well as a sanctuary for contemplation for people who want to stop and recover a deep sense of inner peace. The restored wooden staircase connects the main floor to the attic floor, demonstrating the formal elements, such as struts and thunderbolts, tracing a thread of continuity of the wood elements.
The palazzo is a magical place with centuries of history, beautiful furnishings and fantastic views, but it was the hosts, Elena and Pina, who made our visit truly special. Their warmth and genuine interest in our well-being and comfort made us feel immediately at home in their spacious rooms. Please do ask them to prepare you a meal-- the home-cooked lunch with fresh ingredients from their land, was among the absolute best I've had in Italy!

The monastery is grand, artistic and homey. The lovely local paintings of Sorrento on the walls create a beautiful ambiance . The terracotta deck has stunning night and day views of the Sorrentine Peninsula, Naples and Mount Vesuvius . The Sisters are very sweet, friendly and welcoming. They work very hard at making visitors stay as pleasant as possible. We stayed for eight glorious days and ate a delicious breakfast every morning with fresh Sorrentine oranges available, sweet and juicy. We had an Italian dinner which they cooked and served with their homemade limoncello one evening . The meal is charged to your bill. They bake beautiful cakes for breakfast and the smells permeate throughout the monastery during the day. This place is not to be missed .There is a twenty minute walk into Centre of the city. Five big and elegant rooms at the third floor of an ancient palace of 500. You can rest in an oasi of relax after visiting the cahotic historical center of Naples.
Excellent, pleasant B&B in Piazza Dante, some rooms witn view to the Piazza. Very central to visit Naples Old City on foot, and very near the Metro stop. Delicious buffet breakfast, with fresly made cappucchinos and presser oragne juice. Room was very spacious and comfortable. B&B is on the 3rd floor of an old building with a beautiful inner court. Very reasonable prices. Only drawbacks: 1.- if the the huge wooden main door in Piazza Dante is closed, the keys you are given by reception only open a small, short mini-door, anybody with a normal height must bend to go though, not comfortable for tall people or for people with neck or back problems. 2.- To use the lift you must introduce 20 E-cents in a slot inside the lift. 3.- Reception is not always attended (usual in B-B), to check-in we had to call by telephone because the doorbell was unanswered.
