Good eats and great service. We stopped in for lunch between winery visits and were not disappointed. Comfort food at its best! We will be back!

A boutique eatery in Forestville that uses local, organic, sustainable products that Chef Jeff Young turns into really delicious food. Beer and wine are available while dining on the small garden patio or sitting at the chef's counter watching the couple
We had a late lunch at Twist, we were not disappointed. The special was steak over fried potatoes which my husband got. The Gorgonzola sauce was perfect! I ordered the chicken fried chicken off the menu. This was very tasty served over penne with chard. The sauce was superb. The owner waited on us and she was delightful. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the afternoon. We call this meal âLinnerâ. Late lunch early dinner. This restaurant closes at 4 pm due to residential restrictions.Thank you for the lovely review. I remember you talked about Linner. You sat at the corner table in the back. We're glad you liked everything. I think the gorgonzola sauce is drinkable or at least scarfable with bread. It is one of my favorites. Thanks again for visiting and dining with us.
Great deli bar. We had two of the panini choices and a make-your-own sandwich - all delicious. There was also a nice choices of local kraft beer and wine. We took home lemon squares from the coffee bar and they were to-die-for! There was also a very interesting selections of packaged food items throughout the sore. Would recommend for lunch.

I was exploring Occidental around lunch time -- needing a place to relax, have some lunch and read my book. Howard's Cafe looked inviting -- a porch to sit, just enough energy to say "good food here." I was not disappointed. I had a salad -- enough to take half home -- and iced tea. I was encouraged to just sit as long as I wanted -- which I did. My only disappointment was that I wanted to bring my grandson back to sample their milkshakes and they were closed at 2:30.

We've been going here for years, enjoy the sandwiches without being overly enthusiastic. Always wanted to try their egg and biscuit dishes, but they've always run out by the time we get there! Still, reliable and decent food.

Three of us went there for dinner after visiting the Armstrong Redwoods Reserve. Two got the fish and chips which were delicious. I had recently been put on a very restrictive diet by my GI doctor and was nervous about what I'd eat. Fortunately, I was able to order something within the guidelines - a simple dinner of chicken and carrots - but wow! It was so good!! I mean...those carrots...where did they come from? The Garden of Eden??? I never thought a simple side of carrots could be so delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend.
