The city, built on reclaimed land, was founded in 1967 and was named after Cornelis Lely, who engineered the Afsluitdijk, making the reclamation possible. Lelystad is approximately 3 metres (9.8 feet) below sea level.

Service was friendly and welcoming. Location is great with outdoor seating lovely when weather is good. Food was nice, although rather annoying that the cheapest option of tuna sandwich is still on the menu but they apparently no longer serve it. The cappuccino was excellent and the ice coffee - my wife and I agreed - was probably the best we have ever had.

Lekker gekruid broodje shoarma en heerlijke pizza gegeten! Voor een vlugge en lekkere hap voor een redelijke prijs ben je hier op de juiste plek. Niet erg gezellig....maar wanneer je in goed gezelschap bent voordat je naar de bios gaat is dit een goed adres.

Not expensive and you get good quality. Nice interior, clean and with toilet. Next to the burger, they have all sort of snacks (such as spicy cheese-soufflÃ©)

Met een deel van de gemeenteraad van Lelystad hebben we genoten van een Italiaans buffet, dat geserveerd werd in en door De Eetalage. Een heerlijke pasta met zalm en een lasagne met rundergehakt. Heerlijk brood en salade erbij. Bediening snel en goed. Heerlijke eetgelegenheid die door steeds meer Lelystedelingen ontdekt wordt.
