We took a vegetable plate, two types of pasta and craft beer. All very delicious, medium size portions. There are two people working and making everything by themselves. Feels that they really care. Bill ca. 3,000Â¥ per person.

Having spent the last week in Northern Hokkaido, drinking black coffee with coffee creamer and trying to find a decent capuccino or cafe latte, we found Tully's in Kushiro - having had Tully's coffee before, we headed straight there. Staff were very lovely considering they misunderstood my spouse in the first instance, but quite a respectable tasting cafe latte.It's not the same standard of coffee in our coffee cafes, but I would say I'd go back to Tully's if I can't find a good coffee cafe.

This restaurant looks cosy, but I found the chap serving to be off-hand and not interested in either welcoming us or guiding us through the menu. Quite a few of the items were sold out (even though we were the first people in that evening), and there was no interest from him in trying to recommend alternatives. We left after the starters with no inclination to order more. Most of the other visitors were Japanese tourists, and it looked like they felt equally uncomfortable. Certainly a totally different experience from any other restaurant in japan I've visited.The food was simple, quite tasty although nothing spectacular, but the odd service and lack of guidance in recommending a course of dishes for our meal meant I can't recommend this place. Try Ainu food, but not here.

We came by this bakery as it was highly rated in TripAdvisor but still can't find the bread that match up to our taste-buds with the extremely soft and fluffy ones we had once at a rest area on our way from Hamamatsu to Izu Peninsula. Still looking out!
