Hartbeespoort, informally also known as "Harties", is a small resort town in the North West Province of South Africa, situated on slopes of the Magaliesberg mountain and the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam. The name of the town means "gateway of the hartbees" (a species of antelope) in Afrikaans. We love to stop here for coffee & rusks en-route. We usually order coffee with condensed milk and it is served with âboerbeskuitâ (farmerâs rusks) in a tin plate. Lovely! Plus the coffee is served with a smile. Ideal as a coffee stop.

This establishment has nestled itself in the hearts of many over the last 25 years and has become an iconic landmark in the Hartbeespoortdam area. Under the ownership of Marthie and Christoph Scheepers for the last 19 years and with their guidance, we hav
Terrible experience, my wife ordered a prego burger, and my daughter and I the pancakes. The waiter brings pancakes and proceeds to tell my wife there are no buns available for the burger, however, they can serve it on a slice a bread. Having waited 30 min already and being hungry she agreed...Our pancakes also seems to have been standing for a while..my savory pancake was cold and am the ice cream in my daughter had already started melting...apparently the ran off to the Local SPAR to buy buns and thought it best to let us wait...So we were expected to firstly have our meals whilst she sat and waited for hers. At no stage of the meal prep did the kitchen tell the waiter there are no buns...Anyway bring on the sliced bread burger, a raw price of meat on dry brown bread...We decided to leave and asked for the burger to be removed from our bill...R108...however the manager insisted on seeing the raw slices bread burger first...and then didn't have the decency to come out an apologies...Never going back ...
Very quaint little coffee shop. Absolutely one of Harties hidden gem. Everything is home made and delicious. Their peanut butter cheese cake is a absolute must not to talk about their freak shakes. Nina's is absolutely a place that you have to visit.
Our restaurant have a welcoming and warm atmosphere. Our Waffles/Pancakes are made fresh everyday with traditional fillings for you're enjoyment. We avoid food containing additives, colorants and preservatives. All our burgers, prego rolls and sandwiches
I like everything about this place; location, the food and the atmosphere. Its located inside the mall so you can sit and watch the shoppers walk by, fighting the steep hill with their trolleys...its quite entertaining. The burger with crisps was tasty and nothing wrong with the presentation. Both experiences here were pleasant

Love this coffee shoppee every time I visit Harties. It has a stunning menu that everything sounds delicious. This time round I had the Eggs Benedict and what a generous helping and tasted yum. The surrounds even kept my son entertained and itâs beautiful for memory photos. And itâs in a great little retail centre. Which I loved and supported the locals

On a cold winter Wednesday a group of friends went for breakfast at Volvo Telo and it was a warm and cosy experience. Easy to find and yet set away from the busy road, with plenty of parking.Heaters warmed the venue and blankets were available for your legs and feet. Staff were very attentive and our waitron gave us excellent advice about the breakfast menu. Watching some of the staff baking bread was an added entertainment. Food was great. This Volvo Telo is every bit as good as those in Gauteng.
