Went here on Saturday for coffee and scones, every thing was perfect. The coffee was perfect and the scones where huge, simply Delicious. So I decided to go today, I was so disappointed in everything we got. I ordered half a shot of coffee, what I got wasn't what I ordered . We both ordered a tuna and red onion wrap. After half hr it came but sadly 1 of them was cheese and red onion. I was very disappointed because 4 other tables came in after us and they all got served hot food very quickly, but we had to wait half hr. It's not often I complain but sadly I did today. This is such a lovely Café with lot's on offer. But I would recommend it. The staff did appoligise. But I will go back. We can only apologise for your second visit. We have made considerable effort to increase coffee training and also the way that things are ordered to eliminate mistakes. We have improved the sandwich section with further investment in equipment and increased staffing to speed up the process with dedicated ticketing to further eliminate mistakes during preparation.I am very sorry you received a number of human errors during your visit but please be assured that we have learn from the mistakes we make. I very much hope that based on the fact you have received one excellent visit and one bad visit that you would pop past again and allow us to impress you to tip the odds in our favour. Please accept my apologies again for this below standard experience and I would love to see you return!

Good size menu with good choices. Food is expensive and of good quality. The staff were all very friendly but were not very attentive. Did not see any staff for a while unless food was brought in for diners. Ok place to eat decor okay.

Took dinner here on a late summerâs evening. The food and service were just OK but the dining room was very old fashioned and the overall experience was disappointing. I couldnât recommend it as a place for an evening meal. Youâd be better travelling the few miles to Elgin where there are far better dining choices available.

Stopped for a cuppa and a fine piece at 3pm. There were no scones left, so had the last piece of orange iced cake. A bit on the heavy side, greasy. Quite disappointed. Had a look round the shops that are there. In the shop that sold Baxterâs goods, the shop assistants were unpacking boxes which some were on the floor and stacking shelves. I feel this should be done out of hours. At the checkout, the counter was cluttered, she actually said, too much stuff on it, as she was about to charge me for someone elseâs goods.

We visited today for lunch and had a chicken burger and beef burger which was served with chips, salad and coleslaw. It was delicious. We really enjoyed our food. The service was good and we went home with a piece of coffee and walnut cake which was lovely. We visited the shop and the lady behind the counter was friendly and chatty.

First visit had a full breakfast which was hot, great value, and delicious. Second time was for lunch and had a onion and black pudding bapinni, again was hot and absolutely scrumptious. Staff were very pleasant, cafe was very busy but our waitress apologised for the wait for our food and put a helping of popcorn on our table till our food arrived. Would definitely visit again and soon.
