New Zealand's raddest little brewery. On the shores of Lake Wakatipu looking up at the mighty Remarkables. We brew beer for the adventurous.
Having spent hours on our bikes, (the cycle trail goes right past the brewery) we stopped for a quick drink - staff really friendly, very relaxed atmosphere, great views, and loved the ginger beer. Returned the next day with family and shared the experience. Lovely views too. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

A true icon of the South, we are the oldest continually operating Brewery in New Zealand, and the only site to have an historic Brew Floor and state of the art Brewery housed within the same location. After an extensive remodel in 2017 we are now excited to be able to offer a range of Tour packages to suit our diverse market - we can cater for groups of up to 100, as well as individual travellers and those wishing to experience a private tour. Out standard tours are 60 minutes in duration, followed by a 30 minute tasting session - we will even show you how to pour the perfect glass of Gold Medal Ale. The Speight’s Brewery is also the spiritual home of New Zealand’s biggest beer brand, attracting over 25,000 visitors per year to experience the “Pride of the South”; as one if Dunedin’s most popular tourist attractions we are looking forward to welcoming you to our iconic experience. Good on ya mate

Our Brewery & tasting room are located at Waitiri Creek, Gibbston Valley, Queenstown. The tasting room was originally the Wangaloa Presbyterian Church. It was built in 1894 and relocated to Queenstown in 2000 where it became the cellar door for Waitiri Creek Vineyard. We serve locally produced Waitiri Creek Wines at our tasting room. Guests can enjoy a unique beer and wine tasting experience.
Stopped in here for a beer while on the cycle trail, and ended up having the tasting tray. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and excellent beer. There are some great food options in the menu and also some games on the lawn. This would easily be a place to hang our for a couple of hours
