Ubicated on 50 meters from the Caribbean sea and 1 mile from the local la Caleta Beach
I was only staying one night, breaking my journey to Punta Cana. Wonderfully quite and awesome view, just be aware that you might find it remote if you don't have a vehicle. Still, what a view! Frank is really welcoming and the room was terrific. Especially for the price, just wonderful. Highly recommended

We are a family owned business providing lodging and gastronomic services, mainly oriented to the private and tourist sectors. We offer a personalized and friendly high-quality service, focused on respect and support for our clients. Our focus is to provide comfortable and safe accommodations and offer the best culinary experience in the area. In Onyx Apartments our vision is to represent the hospitality that characterize our city of La Romana; promoting our cultural and social values, so that all customers visit our beautiful city again. The main values that guide us are the respect of each and every one of our clients, related and collaborators. Responsibility with our customers and with our culture. Our commitment is to satisfy each and every one of our clients' expectations and contribute to the socio-economic progress of the city by guaranteeing stable jobs.
Main problem was that with booking.com we made a reservation for 67m2 appartment and we were given a tiny room where we could barely fit our (closed) luggage. The staff didnt take the responsibility for the mistake and we were “upgraded” after really long discussions to only slightly bigger room but terrible standarts ( it was even hard to find an appropite socket to charge the phone - I had to unplugged all the TV facilities), bed was terrible and size 140cm is OK for a single person bur definitely not as a standart for a two persons. After annoying discussion with a staff we decided ro cancel our stay immediately, they were really far from being professional and looking for appropite compesation due to problem. The hotel was still trying to forward the responsibility on the booking but it seems the hotel js just taking advantage of tourists. The tiny room that we were initially given was not even a listed on the BOOKING ( i suppose because it doesnt meet required standarts). Another thing there was a really loud music played by the staff at 11:40pm and they only turned it off after we told them that we would call the police. On top of it, the next morning when we were leaving we had to wait since they didn’t have USD to refund us for the unused nights (we paid them USD the night before, so they just expected we would leave without refund or they just wanted us to wait make it even worse for us). This has been the worst accomodation experience I have ever experience in the entire world, especially due to lack of abilities of the staff to resolve the problem. Definitely stay away from this hotel as far as you could. This is not the way how customer base is built in the country dependent on tourism. I suggest such a hotel shall not be not offered for the international clients and the international platforms.
