Tropical Oasis in Rurrenabaque!
Reviewed By rosesinthornsMaya Hotel was a beautiful oasis in the city. The backyard has multiple sitting areas esconced in tropical plants as well as a sitting area right on the river. The breakfast in the morning was hearty (eggs, cheese, meat, yogurt, fresh local fruit and warm bread). We met many other travelers there, the staff is English speaking and super friendly. The bed was big, comfortable and the showers hot. Chalalan ecolodge booked this on our behalf before we did our jungle tour and we’re so glad they did!

You can lay back next to the swimmingpool, planning your next tour to the Selva or Pampa, thanks to a good wifi connection. Also if you feel like playing there is another type of pool: pool tables to spend time with others backpackers, a beer or a caipirinha in your free hand! Finally, you can enjoy great tacos everynight with fresh local products and veggie options.

Reviewed By RPickett18I stayed for a night before my jungle trip and thought it was a great base. Central location near to all the tour operators and shop etc. One block from the river. Room was spacious with plenty of storage space and lighting. There was good ac and a ceiling fan but in May I didn’t need to use either overnight as the room stayed cool. Bathroom was modern with hot water after taking a while to run through. Towel and soap provided but no hand towel and only one pillow. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace which is nice, eggs if you want them and bread & fruit. WiFi was good, free water refills in reception and supermarket next door. Staff don’t speak English but happy to communicate via google translate. Would stay again.

A bit pricey for where it is but ok!
Reviewed By FlashTraveller1980We were sick and had to extend our stay which ended up being very pricey at $40US a night for a basic hotel room, it was nice enough with a private bathroom but for the town you are in I wouldn't say it's worth it, however you would be pressed to find anything much cheaper, there was one next to the bus stop that was only $20US for 2 single beds but further from the main square! I would just skip this town altogether!

Reviewed By kermit_126On est pas pas de la catégorie des hôtels de luxes qui sont aux alentours de Rurrenabaque. Mais les chambres sont assez grandes, propres avec TV, Wifi, clim et ventilateur. Si on veut être chagrin, on peut dire qu'il manque le frigo bar. Le rapport qualité / prix est bon. Voyant ce que j'ai payé à Ixiamas pour la chambre que j'avais, ici on est bien. J'ai même testé d'autres hôtels à Rurrenabaque, et pour le même prix, on a pas la même qualité. Il y a une grande piscine (un peu chlorée) et un espace avec hamac où l'on peut se détendre. 2 grands aras nous tiennent compagnie. Le personnel est très sympathique. C'est mon hôtel quand je suis ou passe par Rurrenabaque. Attention, la situation indiquée par le site n'est pas bonne, l'hotel est situé sur la plaza del 2 de febrero entre la place et le rio Beni.
