Yes, it is worth it! From climbing all the way up to get a 360º view to diving in the clear waters. Spinalonga, among so many other incredible beaches in Crete, is definitely worth visiting. The one day tour is enough.

The walk is over quite rough terrain, but it is worth it. Gets very busy at weekends. Worth the walk, take a picnic and make it worth it!

Plaka is a small village which is easily accessible by bus and taxi from Elounda or a 45 minute walk. There are several cafe bars and the beachside restaurants all look out towards the island of Spingalonga. Higly recommeneded for a relaxing day soaking up the sun and village life.

Quieter beach with some sun loungers, lovely relaxed feel. Easy access. Gently shelving beach into water, perfect for a swim or a SUP.
