I had their 3 meat Hawaiian sampler plate that included Chicken Katsu, Beef Short Rib, and BBQ Beef served with white rice, macaroni salad, and veggie. The Chicken Katsu was a little fattie, but the beef BBQ was delicious as was the short rib. The veggie was steamed cabbage with carrots which was also wonderful. The rice was white...what else can I say about rice. The macaroni salad was good but needed salt and pepper. I'll definitely add this place to one of my favorites.

This is not like all the other El Pollo Nortenos. We live in Orange County, and everytime we travel up North we have to stop here. It is a must!! The Tri-Tip is tender and tasty and the service is great. The Horchatas are great, and the chicken is really good.

We stopped in Santa Maria for gas and dinner and ate here. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and I had a club sandwich with fries. The club sandwich was pretty mediocre and my wife said the pulled pork sandwich was pretty good. I ordered the french fries to be hot and crispy and they came out rather cool/warm so I had to return them to get hot crispy fries. The best part of the meal was the side of onion rings which were hot, crispy and quite delicious. The waitress, Alyssa, was nice and friendly. We had eaten here before and itâs pretty average for a freeway grub stop.

I've had plenty of Hawaiian BBQ back home, and this place was OK. The portion size was enough, but not like Ono or those other BBQ places back in Southern California. While my combo plate was tasty and had the usual macaroni and what not, it was priced high IMO, but there's not too much competition out here. Decent for lunch.

Hitching Post Winery, which is next door to this quaint, casual cafeteria, was made famous in the "Sideways" movie. However, we like this lunch place for its beautiful hillside views, excellent hamburgers and vegetarian fajitas . Priced very reasonably ($6-$11), the service is friendly and food quality is very good. By the way, we also heard their vegetarian burger is equally good. You can also buy wine by the glass (limited choice, though) or take the whole bottle and share. Wines are from local vinyards, and if you haven't tried Central Valley Zinfandel or Pinot's, you simply ought to.The nearby restaurant by the same name is only open for dinner, but also serves great food, in a more formal manner.

Typical bulgogi/kalbi barbecue restaurant, with a great selection of meats. Kim chee assortment, Korean and Japanese beers, and a selection of wines. The amount of food was staggering. The decor leaves something to be desired, but the staff members are very friendly. And it's inexpensive. This is NOT l'Escoffier, so if you are looking for a fancy place, this ain't it. But for what it is, it's excellent.
