We serve great southern, slow cooked barbeque. All sauces are made in house. The fried okra is the best in Beaufort. We are family owned and operated and pride ourselves a family friendly atmosphere. We are an order here pay here restaurant. No wait staff
They have wonderful service at smokin oaks along with great southern hospitality! I loved the environment and decorations. Not only was the food amazing, specifically the Mac n cheese and pulled pork, but it was very reasonably priced! It is definitely my new lunch spot!
The Smokehouse at Paris Avenue in a small, family-run restaurant featuring classic barbeque fare, with a smokey twist. Meats are smoked to make sure it is both flavorful and juicy. We also have your favorite classic BBQ, sides are served up with our own h
Excellent BBQ, also had stuffed potato that was very good. Reasonably priced and good service. The waitresses were very friendly even though they were quite busy. Recommend getting there early for lunch.

Ribs were meat. They tasted closer to country style than spare or babybacks. The mac & cheese had a flavor mixed into the cheddar that I didn't care for. I did not taste the pulled pork sandwich, but it had lots of meat. The mustard based BBQ sauce excellent.Staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant was very clean.

My wife and I were walking down Bay St. during a recent trip to Beaufort. About 4:30, we started getting hungry because we hadnât eaten lunch. We mulled over our restaurant choices and decided to go for the barbecue. It was too early for dinner so the place was practically empty. They sat us at a table and then pretty much ignored us. It seemed like all the staff were getting ready for the impending dinner rush. However, once they realized we hadnât been waited on, they were very gracious and apologetic. The service was great after that. My wife had pulled pork and I had pulled chicken. We were both quite satisfied with the portions and the flavor. All our side dishes were tasty, too. The sautéed zucchini and squash was delicious. The baked beans were very good. Also, I ordered a very generous fresh and crisp garden salad before the meal. It was easily enough for two people. The lemon vinaigrette dressing was quite good also. There was a bonus to boot on top off this already pleasant dining experience. I ordered a 16 oz. glass of the house draught lager. To my amazement, when I received the bill, I was only charged $1.50. Apparently, we unwittingly walked in on a happy hour drink special. When we first sat down, I expected this to be a bad experience because we were initially ignored. In the end, however, my wife and I liked this barbecue place quite well.

This a low country store that houses goods from local artists, food purveyors and other knick knacks from around the world. It has some interesting and quirky stuff so it's fun to just browse around. In the back there was a counter and several picnic type benches. There was also a chest refrigerator that contained to go items like she crab soup. The pies baked in the kitchen seem to be the focus as the ladies in the back were busy preparing them a couple days before Thanksgiving. We decided to order something to eat. Surprisingly, they actually offered a Chicago hot dog on the menu, (pickle spear, sport peppers, relish, tomato, onion, celery salt and mustard). I opted for the chili dog with slaw. It took awhile to get our food, but it was worth the wait. Blue, the store's dog, joined us at our table, and patiently waited for some tid bit to drop. We really enjoyed our lunch, and I ended up giving Blue a taste. He licked his chops in appreciation.I thought the prices for some of the items in the store were way too high. We bought some great peanuts in the shell, but these could have been purchased elsewhere for half the price. The hush puppy mix we purchased was also expensive and made the most uncharacteristic pups we have ever had.....and NOT in a good way. It's worth a visit, just be choosy in what you buy.
