The restaurant was closed when we arrived in the area as it was out of season but the lovely waitress made us food herself and served us with a smile.I will definitely visit again another year because of the warmth of the people.

This restaurant is out in the country a short distance from the town of Monopoli on the Conversano road. Here you choose your prepared meat (huge selection) from the butcher's shop and it is grilled for you on a huge outdoor barbecue. The service is very friendly and food is delicious. When your meat is ready each element of your selection is brought to your table wrapped separately in paper. It's quite a meat fest so not for every evening but it's really worth trying. Also, really recommend the antipasti della casa. The restaurant can be very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Different from most places - and very local - the owners of the farm have opened up their doors to offer barbecued meat over an open fire and (certainly on Sundays) delicious fresh bread, Tagalli, focaccia, sweet tarts from their bakery behind.Don't expect much to be happening around 7.30pm but the place then fills up and becomes noisy and busy. We went for the experience and it was great!Choose your meat from the butchery which is then weighed and sent for cooking over the open fire (I suspect there could sometimes be a mix up!). You can then choose to have a Puglian starter, choice couple of veg, baked or fried potatoes, salad. That's about it. Go and enjoy - very reasonably priced but don't expect slick service although its very efficient and go for the fun of it! Go for what it is!

The best of the fantastic food and drink of monopoli. This restaurant filled fast and was dealt with by a smiley and efficient waiter who might well have been the owner. The fresh fish was amazing and was genuinely in short supply- our party of 4 all had the superb fresh tuna and the next table was then told it was done. Don't get put off by the description of potatoes with all the dishes as "baked"- they're far more like sauteed and they were delicious. Had most amazing cheesecake to finish. Highly recommended.

This place was recommended to us and we were staying nearby so called in for lunch.It was the last day of our holiday and we were gutted not to have found this place earlier , traditional and authentic Italian cooking doesn't get much better. We booked to return for dinner as we wanted to try other things on the menu . We couldn't get a cab and didn't want to drive due to having had a bottle of wine the owner came and picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel later ,he did not have to do this as it was a Friday night the restaurant was full. Cant wait until we are in the part of Italy again so we can revisit this place.
