Sonny's BBQ of Jonesboro. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
Being from Florida, Iâve been to many Sonnyâs. This one is under renovation and starting to look great and modern. Now the food was definitely up to Sonnyâs standards, the sauces delicious and the drinks WAY too large. But this one gets five stars (circles) for its friendly employees who thanked us repeatedly for coming in. Felt like Sonnyâs royalty!

My wife and I stopped in here during a recent trip. I had the 1/2 smoked chicken and she had the pulled BBQ chicken sandwich both were awesome! My wife bought two quarts of sauce to bring home she liked so much. I went back the next day for breakfast, it was amazing also. If you enjoy old time cafe style places don't miss the place!
The bat was nice and not too crowded. We got there late (after 11pm) on a Saturday night. The music is in keeping with the area, and super loud but everyone was super friendly. I got the Bob Marley to drink. It was big and super pretty but very strong! There was no cover, food was decent and the live DJ seemed to be having a blast!

I finally found this place. I had seen the yellow sign by Jonesboro Rd and drove thru the mall twice looking for Ray's. It is on the right end/wind of the mall behind the car wash. They need better signage. It is even better than John's Find Foods up the street. They had two daily specials, meatloaf and jerk chicken @ $7.95. I had the jerk chicken with fried cabbage and yams + cornbread. It was wonderful and enough for two meals. they have other menu items also, including BBQ pork and beef. Their mac and cheese looked great, but I did not have it this first trip. I think I have found an even better Southern Food place=Ray's Southern Foods.
